LOREX POE connector pin out

Below is the pin out for the female POE Ethernet connector for the FLIR / LOREX LNB-3163 and LNE-3162 cameras (3MP High Definition Bullet Security Camera with Long-Range Night Vision)

Pin Camera Cat-5 wire

1 Brown Or/Wh

2 Purple Orange

3 Orange Gr/Wh

4 Yellow Blue

5 Yellow Bl/Wh

6 Blue Green

7 Gray Br/Wh

8 Gray Brown

Instead of attempting a weatherproof connection I recommend just using a Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jack from the hardware store, then mounting the camera inside. Note: The camera's Yellow and Gray wires are connected at two pins each.

I had an outside camera fail due to water getting in the Ethernet connection and rotting it out. I didn't want to throw out an expensive camera, and after a lot of searching I found a partial answer on this forum. After a little more work I traced out the pinouts back to the camera itself. Hope this helps you save some money.
