Please HELP!

Recommended Posts

So to start off, I'm new to security cameras. I'd say I'm alright with computers, im not a coder or anything but I understand the basics.

So I got a free 1080p ezviz camera system, bought a building and it came with it. Well I took the cameras to my house and set them up. Picture looks great, but I could not connect to it remotely because the previous owner had an account setup to that dvr. I did plenty of research, I was able to reset the local account on the dvr but could not reset the "cloud" account registered to the serial number of that dvr. I finally gave up on it and decided to buy a new dvr with 8 inputs instead of just the 4. I had some extra cameras that id figured I would use. So the new dvr arrived. Got it hooked up and theres no video on the cameras, I know the cameras, wires and power supply work because i can plug it into the old dvr and it works fine. I tried plugging in the extra cameras I have and they worked fine.

The cameras that dont work are the ezviz/hikvision 1080p 2.8mp nc cameras.

The cameras that do work are a zmodo, not sure if theyre 720 or what.

I ordered the new dvr from amazon, after reading reviews and looking through various dvrs this seemed like it would work with my cameras and was a good deal. Here is a link to it http://a.co/iUSQFyM

So Im not sure if theyre are settings I need to change for it to work with my cameras or should I send it back and find a different dvr. Please help me, thanks!

Hi. You have bought a analog dvr that will take only 2 ip cameras

The ones working ... are they connected by bnc ?

Your ezviz no point using cameras controlled by a 3rd party in China. Don't open your home network to a China server. For cloud

Both the ezviz camera and the other camera are bnc. On the same cord and same input, one will work but the other will not. I know both cameras are good though, because they work on the old dvr.
