Q-see cable and Samsung DVR Help

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

Did a search but couldn't find an answer.

I purchased a home that is wired with Q-see connectors. I have a Samsung DVR and camera.

Is there an adapter to use the existing Q-see wiring with Samsung cameras and DVR? The connectors are different.

My issue is that all the wiring is inside the walls and I have no access to run new ones to certain spots.

Any help?

Assuming the cameras and recorder use compatible technologies, you should just be able to just use a BNC female-to-female adapter.

I'm not suggesting you buy it from us - we are not set up to handle lots of $0.95 orders so shipping will likely be prohibitively expensive, however this is the type of thing you will likely need: https://www.orangesecurity.com/product/accessories/other-cables-connectors/bnc-female-female-adapter/. In fact, if you're in the USA, go to our contact form here - https://www.orangesecurity.com/contact/ and in the message field, put your postal address and I'll have someone mail you a connector (first class mail), just in an envelope, at no charge to allow you to try it.

There is a bit of a difference between the internals, however by the looks of things, they should just connect together.

Hi. The qsee cable is not 75ohm cable so you need to change the ends of each cable if you want to get the best from your system.

Can you cut one end off the qsee cable and strip it back and post a picture
