Kodicom KCM-8800 DVR Card HELP

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

i have a Kodicom KCM-8800.

On the Card is printed LW-8800 DVR Card but i suppose it is a Kodicom Card.Serial Number is: 0533865

With this Card came a software CD with diginet Software Site Version v4025 Patch1.

I have installed the card and the driver and when I try to start the diginet Software it hangs while loading the graphic driver and when i ALT-F4 it it comes with the error message:

Kodicom Security Driver was not found

This software requires Kodicom Security Driver 0.9.0018 or higher

ould not load capture security device driver"

When i go to device manager i see 8 x the Kodicom driver loaded.

The driver version is 0.9.0018.

My setup is on a Sony Vaio Computer PiV 2.53 Ghz, no VIA chipset, ATI Radeon Graphic Card 1 Gb of Memory.

Operationg system is Windows XP Service Pack1.

What am I missing ?

I did already a clean install of the OS but it did not help.

Might it be a problem with the Windows Version ?

Wich Windows Versions are supported ?

I don't care I can install Windows 2000 Server/Workstation if this solves the problem.

So my questions: which Windows Versions are supported ? (and which versions will also work, or does it not work with XP at all)

Is Site Version v4025 Patch1 an recent release or old crap ?

Is there a Site where I can legally get software updates ?

Wich graphics Card is supported ? Will my Radeon do fine ?

Greetings from a very cold Austria and thanks in advance for any help

Hi, no problem, to make it easy, Kodicom is made in Korea, since it sais country of origin is China and they call it Kodicom, more than likely it is a clone.

Here is the Kodicom Site:

http://new.kodicom.com/Products/Eng/prod.asp

Although the price you mentioned, i dont know the equivelent in US Dollars, the Cloned cards normally go for very low prices.
