Does anyone have experience with a Lenel OnGuard system that has archiving turned on to a database?

We are wanting to set this up but can't find clarity on how the reporting works for the archived records. There is a "use archived records" checkbox on the reporting screen. The help text on this (which is not that helpful) says:

"If this check box is selected, data for an event or user transaction report is obtained from archived events/transactions in the database, rather than from the current “live” events/transactions. Archived events/transactions are those restored using the [Restore Archive] button on the Restoring form of the Archives folder."

So it sounds like you have to restore archived data somehow (the details of which are super muddy) before you can run reports against the data.

I would appreciate any experienced feedback on the Lenel archival to DB process, and also this weird reporting option.

	Regards

I'm searching for access control system which is using remotes or hard to duplicate rfid.
The main thing is that remotes are hard to duplicate same goes for rfids, it needs to be very hard or impossible to duplicate. I had some offers for rfids that use some property frequencies plus they use infrared with some encrypted keys.
Also remotes have some triple floating frequencies which are hard to duplicate.
Also I would need to have network access to log server on the access control, and ability to upload and disable users.
This system should open and close motorized wing gates and should be able to connect proximity senors for vehicles and humans.

Do you know for some affordable systems with the features that I need?

Tried sending this CGI command using curl in a BAT file but expect that this fails because the camera requires authentication not present in this string

Wireshark provides some details as to how the web interface authentication is being done using GET HTTP/1.1 but not following how to include this in a one-line CGI Command

Anyone using OnGuard 8.1? We are packaging the 8.1 client but came across a bug that will only be fixed in 8.2, according to the support website. The client install fails with a message that Windows Storage Sense must be turned off for the install to take place, otherwise the install is a no-go.

Of course, we have a group policy that turns this on and even desktop administrators don't have the ability to turn it off. The solution will not be simple, it seems.

Hi, I'm a first time poster and live in the UK. where I bought a Lorex system and have installed it myself. Connecting the Lorex home app etc. was a breeze and all worked well until the power outage.

Being totally new to the world of cctv and I'm no spring chicken, I had a day and a half, reading, you tubing and blundering about trying to get remote access to work again. All worked

fine on wifi though working out how the new router needs to be configured compounded the issue. We have no land line and use a Huawei B818_7A46 cube type router which seems to be compounding the issue as I

can not find any information on how to set it up to port forward.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the conclusion I have arrived at is my external (WAN?) IP address has changed so my remote access from my phone will not connect (although the system still sends my phone Alerts.

I have just discovered that maybe I need to set up the DDNS, which I think converts an IP address to a Domain Name. Whenever I try to set up / log in to the Lorex one in the uk site it says continually "page not found"

has anyone else had this issue, and how I get around it?

I also tried to set up the DDNS page in network settings but it does not accept anything I put in and responds with "connected" if I put in my password or " check DDNS connections.

Also, the router configuration also has a DDNS page, do I I need to set up one, the other or both? and can port forwarding be done on this router?

sorry for so many questions but I know the answer must be simple because I accidentally got it working again on the first power outage.

	Any pointers gratefully received, thanks.

	Regards, Paul.

	Hi All,

I am the CEO of a small I.T company. It was started 1 year ago. Now we have hired some employees. As you all know, we may have many files to handle. As the number of employees increases, we need to strengthen the security system. Especially the protection of confidential files and documents and also the prevention of unauthorized access.

I am planning to install an access control system in our office. I am confused that which access control system is good for companies like me. When I searched online, I came to know about the card access system. What do you guys think about it? Is it good? Please share your opinions.

	Thanks!

	Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas on what type of lock to use in the following scenario.

Double fire escape doors in question need to be held electronically shut to stop teenagers with difficulties from escaping the building. At present they can just push the panic bar and walk out.

The doors only need to be released in an emergency situation i.e. fire alarm triggered. There is no need for any door access to these doors, just electronically fixed. I cant use physical mechanical locking as the teenagers will simply bypass it. Also, I cant have a Maglock on the head of the door as the door frame header is very low and would cause injury. I've been told that a shear lock is not to be used on an emergency escape door as they have difficulties releasing if there is a side loading on them i.e. some one pushing the door before its released.

	The doors are as follows.

Double, rebated, wooden, outward opening emergency exit doors with existing panic bar on one door (first to open) and panic bolt on the other (2nd to open)

My feeling is that there will be some kind of electronic panic bar that will release upon an alarm activation....but I'm struggling to find one

	Thanks in advance
