<p>
	i have 8 bnc xvim cameras and i have 8 foscam ip cameras. i now have the connected to a westshine <abbr title="A network video recorder (NVR) is a specialized computer system that includes a software program that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage device.">nvr</abbr> and i can see them all on the monitor. that unit went thru a house fire it did not see smoke but may have see rain months later before i could get them out of the house.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	anyway it is starting to fail with dropouts. it never did that before i had the fire. so it is either getting old or got some damage.  i'm looking for another <abbr title="A network video recorder (NVR) is a specialized computer system that includes a software program that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage device.">nvr</abbr>/<abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">dvr</abbr> hybrid unit but when i go to ebay and ask the sellers it seems no one has a clue.
</p>

<p>
	so does anyone happen to know what brands now will let you see all the cams on one monitor as i'm now doing.  i did get 2 new <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">dvr</abbr> units and one showed 16 bnc spaces and 4 ip spaces and the other one showed either 16 bnc spaces or 8 ip spaces.   i need 16 spaces and i need all the cams to show.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	the one i'm using is the westshine hybrid and i have an xvim 8ch but that will show 8 bnc and 4 ip cams.  i ask the sellers about this and they have no clue. so maybe some here have a hybrid that can see 8 bnc and 8 ip cams on the same monitor

	A cctv camera appears faulty, it shows a band at the bottom of the picture.
</p>

<p>
	I attach a picture showing the camera and fault. 2nd block down and 2nd in (i.e. middle block)
</p>

<p>
	The faulty picture shows on all good connections, accordingly it is the camera not the wiring to that camera.
</p>

<p>
	BTW the camera was given to me a couple of days ago, I was also given a second same  specification camera and that works excellently.
</p>

<p>
	I have tried all camera types available to my <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> i.e. TVI, CVI AHD and auto for this faulty camera; the good one works on auto &amp; AHD
</p>

<p>
	Is this bottom band problem a known fault or is it simply a faulty piece of electronics that should be thrown away.
</p>

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I am new to CCTV setup and operations. My daughter is wanting to put some cameras up around the property to watch the wildlife and feral cat's.
</p>

<p>
	I was looking at getting her a couple Pelco camera's and housings. There is ton's of surplus Pelco for sale but I have a couple questions on the setup of the system.
</p>

<p>
	1) On the  Pelco EH3512-2 camera housing which is the 24v housing will that housing and camera have 2 separate 24v feeds? 1 for the heater and fan and 1 for the camera? Will be feeding cameras from Pelco MCS16-20 power supply. Just trying to get idea of how much conduit I need along with RG59 with power feed and if I need separate run for the housing.
</p>

<p>
	2) Will the Pelco <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> DX8100,4500 work for her recording?
</p>

<p>
	3) Using the Pelco CC3701H-2 cameras.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks
</p>

<p>
	Tim

This morning, I reconnected it and it continues to beep.  It will not boot up, just multiple short beeps with no real pattern to the beeps.  Sometimes I get 10 short beeps and then one long beep, other times several short beeps with a long beep.  I did some troubleshooting by disconnecting the drive, turning off the camera main power but still does not boot up.  Does this mean the <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> is dead or is there any other troubleshooting steps to take to see if I can revive it?  Any further guidance greatly appreciated.  Thank you

	No signal is getting through to the monitor
</p>

<p>
	It used to work

<p>
	Cable has been up 10+ years

<p>
	Have tried various modalities like cleaning contacts

<p>
	Latterly have disconnected both ends of the video cable - then joined the earth braid and live together at one end
</p>

<p>
	Went to the other end and used an ohms meter to check the reading over approx 280m  (2x140m) - by one probe on the signal centre and another probe on the earth braid- <strong>it was 15 ohms</strong>

<p>
	Now, is that what you would expect over that run of cable ?

<p>
	Hi there,
</p>

<p>
	I have a samsung sch-750 analog camera that I would like to control from a PC. The manual is not very clear on what protocol the camera is using. Also, it kind of contradict itself about if its using rs-485 or rs-232. I've joined some screenshot attachments from the manual.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The manual specify the RS-485 configuration(parity,data bit ect...) and then remote pinout seems to be for rs232 because of the TX and RX(see first image). RS-485 pinout is usually a+ b- not TX RX.
</p>

<p>
	To had to the confusion, in the specs , it say : RS-232C -&gt; Built-in(see second image). Lastly, they provide a table with different command without specifying the protocol(see third image). I've checked on the web and does not look like pelco-D protocol.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	So my questions are:
</p>

<p>
	-Should I connect the camera to a rs-232 or rs-485  usb dongle?
</p>

<p>
	-Could tell me what protocol is being used (pelco-D , pelco-P ect...) if you recognize it?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks for your help.

<p>
	Hello everyone, good day.
</p>

<p>
	I have a problem with a 16CH HD SDI <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> from the Eyeview brand model HID1608HL, it turns out that I bought it on the street without abiding by the problem it brought, since for the configuration I clearly needed a password that I do not have and researching all over the internet I find that It is a Chinese brand that is not seen much and when reviewing the Eyeview page this model seems as if it were discontinued because it does not have any type of manual and I cannot find information anywhere to be able to delete the ADMIN password that it asks for. I have tried with all the possible keys, with <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> key generators with the date, I have removed the battery and changed it for a new one giving it a period of 2 hours without the battery, and it continues with the password and I don't longer know what more I can do please if someone can help me with this thank you very much.

	I got the call to help a customer get an old <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> online and viewable with an app. I have no idea of make or model but I've seen several of these over the years and been able to get working by opening some ports, config newddns, and superlive plus app. But this <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> has a built in dns called easterndns. Never heard of before but I was able to get an acct and setup. The only issue I have is the <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> will not show up in superlive plus app. Is there an app that will work for this? I did confirm I can see the <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> online by using my phone and going to a browser. It's the same page that shows up with another <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> that is exactly the same but uses newddns and works in superlive plus. I attached screenshot.

	Old system given to me free with one camera, and will be sufficient for my needs.
</p>

<p>
	I can get it to send emails and so I know its connected and i have the port forwarded but I can't sign in from my computer and view system with local <abbr title="In an IP surveillance system, an IP camera records video footage and the resulting content is distributed over an IP (Internet protocol)">IP</abbr> number (or my main <abbr title="In an IP surveillance system, an IP camera records video footage and the resulting content is distributed over an IP (Internet protocol)">IP</abbr> number followed by the open port). On a Mac and on Safari it just keeps telling me to install plug in.   On an old windows 7 internet explore 11  I have followed the directions about trusting the site and checked off all the activeX control's but never get past a dark blue screen (no prompt to download activeX).
</p>

<p>
	NOR (what I really want) is to view from my iPhone.  I have tried several apps plugging in the <abbr title="In an IP surveillance system, an IP camera records video footage and the resulting content is distributed over an IP (Internet protocol)">IP</abbr> numbers, and password but can't get connected.  The instructions I found online are very vague but say it can be connected via iPhone.
</p>

<p>
	The one camera (not original to the system) has a 4 way button and only works on analog so I assume this is an analog system.
</p>

<p>
	I don't have the original remote it would have came with - any chance someone knows a remote code to program and use a universal remote??
</p>

<p>
	any and all help is appreciated!

<p>
	  Hello and thanks for the help in advance.
</p>

<p>
	    We have some older Panasonic CCTV controllers (WJ-HD616) that still run and have no plans on removing them for a while. With the removing of IE 11 to happen in Jan 2023, we will have no access to view through web browser. We do have a central location that has a full install of Panasonic security CCTV camera software so we are not dead in the water, but it is for management that access the controllers every once in a while through web that needs to be addressed. The cost for the Panasonic software is expensive a few thousand $ per install. Looking to see if there is any alternative, if someone has success for web browsing (Opera / firefox), I have tested but not done successfully as of yet..... Or if there is a software that is cheap that we can purchase and install.
</p>

<p>
	      Any help would be great,
</p>

<p>
	        Thanks so much!

	Hello all,
</p>

<p>
	We are retrofitting an old analog CCTV system and we have noticed that the cameras that are farther away look really bad... ghosting and double vision, etc. The longest runs are around 250' there are no problems with cameras that are closer to the <abbr title="A digital video recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card, SSD or other local or networked mass storage device.">DVR</abbr> (like 175') … Are there any know distance limitations? The manufacturer has not been much help. The new cameras are 12vdc 5mp... connectors are good... solid core copper braided RG59 cable.
