    kodicom

Hi wino. here is a good priced card http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=131 but for a 4 way or 8 i think it is cheaper to buy a system now. by the time you have the card then extra HD and the problems of new cards needing newer pc to install them in there is not much between them.

    Help please

Hi zorro. First thing bpzle is right stay far away from wireless. unless you pay for a wifi system. also stay away from the usb recorders. not reliable. it sounds like your wife is having a bad time with it. so look for a system that is going to work and do the job. it might be better if you find a company from the forum who is close to you. just let the forum know were you are.
  3. Hi 245. its not just the cameras that give you good quality recording. your dvr also has to be upto the job. what make of dvr are you connecting these cameras too.
  4. Hi wghoffma. then that would be the best way to back-up with remote console. or if buy pen. your dvr HD sounds like it was formated wrong. instead of fat it is fat32. place usb HD into your pc click computer right click your pen then click on drop down format menu click fat32 then quick format. then it should work on your dvr.
  5. Hi wghoffma. no dont connect your dvr by usb to your computer. is your dvr connected to you net work ??

  10. storage depends on how much footage you need to store. in a jewelry store i would look for no less than 14 days. were are you based
  11. Hi chris. i would tend to look at going hybrid dvr. it will save you money in the long run. with going hybrid you can stay with your existing cameras but replace 3 or 4 of them with good ip cameras that will give you more coverage. and also what i do for jewelry stores is also install a internal ptz so as your staff can follow suspect customers. the cost of a hybrid dvr will be a lot less than building your own server and adding adaptors to your existing cameras as you would also need switchers and a good internal network.
  12. same settings as SANYO VCC-HD4000P all sanyo cameras will work with other settings on the avers
  13. Hi atamai. take a look at this link very good camera sanyo. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11322&start=210
  14. do you know what system you have. there is no point giving you info if you say you have bought avermedia then you say samsung.
  15. Hi Twilo. i have been installing avers for 5 years. and in the past 3 all models have been on mobile remote viewing - mobile windows / smartphone / pda / and from november 09 iphone. most people forget to tick remote in dvr setup and the ports also have to be 5550 if 80 or anything else then you cant connect.
  16. Hi Twilo mobile viewing has been with all avers nv/sa/eb/seb/eh linux and windows based for 2 years or more.
  17. Hi atamai. you can take your pic of what ip cameras you can use with that dvr. it depends on what your budget is. and how you are going to use it i.e dome camera or ptz / or internal or external. take a look at sanyo here is a post from the forum. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11322&start=210
  18. Hi Pilotguy. some things are missing off the ebay discription. you do know you will need to keep your pc on 24/7 also you will need a good size H/D to hold the recordings. for a little bit more money you would be best just buying a network dvr from a brand name company.

    DVR advice needed

Hi mike. it depends on your budget. and what you are going to be protecting. the systems you have listed are low fps dvrs and you would be better sticking with your system.

Need Opinion on these cameras please

i do have a few of them cameras out i used them on budget installs. but i will be honest with you the picture quality is very very good day and at night. and are better than the small cnb range. i would also look at the avermedia nv5000 dvr card
  21. under user settings have you ticked all the webviewer boxes and also the remote access time to infinite. also you need to give it time for your phone to download. this can take upto 10 mins. and also try this as a test http://your dvr ip:5550/mobile this is a quick screen shot and works on any mobile with internet.
  22. no problem at all. under powering will not do any harm at all 12v for 24v. but if is was 24v into 12v. some good cameras will recover but the cheaper ones well they smell like burning bacon.
  23. Hi scruit. some blackberrys will let you load the java window and some dont. down to cell company. so here are 2 ways 1 should get you working. but your dvr port has to be 5550. enter this as is into your phone browser. http://your dvr ip:5550/JAVA-Viewer.html and your dvr will send your phone the download. or email this to your phone http://your dvr ip:5550/JAVA-Viewer.html and then click on the link. just for ref: all these ports sould be open on your router to your dvr ip. 5550/5551 - for remote 5555 - for cms and 53 & 1053 - for ddns
  24. Sweet camera! Where can I get one?? Contact your carpenter Dont knock cheap cheap cheap cameras this has 560 tweet lines. better than ebay
  25. like soundy and bpzle say you are in a good situation with how they wired your house. you are covered for any camera install . and if your cable runs are not to long. if you have not picked your cameras yet take a look at the CNB-utp range. you can install theses cameras as stated by soundy and bpzle. but if the runs are to long for coax you can still just conect these cameras with just your cat5.
