Exporting past the hour mark. Can it be done?

nv 6480. you go to system then back-up and down load footage or go to intel search and click on how many hrs you need. (you click on each hr once and the last hr click on twice) then use segment.
  2. yellow cable ???? yellow is video white or red is a audio. did you make the leads or did they come with system ???

Exporting past the hour mark. Can it be done?

dont know who you spoken to at aver but it can be done. you are using segment cut there are two other ways for burning footage. use your remote software it gives you more options.

    Basic Home System

please stay away from maplins. i remove 2 systems a month from customers who have installed there own from maplins. i.e down load problems/ cameras very poor. and you are thinking wireless (lucky if it works in london) your budget is your budget so i recommend the link below. if you have a window by were you need the camera then i would fitt this just outside your window. it beats maplins by miles. http://www.espuk.com/intro_guardcam.htm

    Image fading on cameras (sample)

this is a power problem. how many cameras and what size power supply are you using. take all cameras out of power unit and connect 1 at a time to another power supply and see what happends. but you are loosing the negitive side of your power supply. some cheap power units get hot and the soildering on the terminals come loose.

    Does 4x2 = 8?

no the eb1304 sata can not do that. but the sa 5000 can but you cant buy this in america. i will pm you a link to a demo

    Does 4x2 = 8?

yes rory the playback is a bit slow on the eb. but have you tried the new seb 1304 full D1 on all channels and its mouse controlled. it might take longer for the new dvrs to get to you on your hot all year round island. (what i would not give to be hot all year round )

    Does 4x2 = 8?

the eb comes with vga and bnc output for viewing if you connect the bnc output to a rf box to your home tv aerial then the images will show on tvs or if you tv has a vga input then it will connect directly to you tv.

    Does 4x2 = 8?

Can you elaborate on the "tv" part of that sentence. I do not know if the user will be interested in this, but I'm curious about how it is done. on any tv and pc.............. if connected to a router and rf box (bnc output) to aerial. http://www.avermedia-usa.com/surveillance/uploads//productimages/EB1304NETSATAds.pdf Do you know if there is a PDF of the manual available anywhere?

How many PTZ's can i connect to one box?

you can add upto what ever your dvr i.e 4 way = 4 ptz 16=16ptz but not with your usb converters as the dvr only had 3/4 usb. and if you loose powe then all your com ports will change and you will need to reset every time if you use a rs485 to rs232 converter (you only need 1) take a look at the moxa. is the best way.

    Outdoor Rec Security

not for reading licence plates. the camera listed had ir which will wipe out the numbers at night. plus the lens is not good enough. if all you are looking for is 2 cameras then i would look at the mobotix for your needs. you will not need a dvr then. and they turn b/w at night for better res and will pic up numbers look at ip demo cameras on this site.
  15. i saw this post this morning but was leaving before i could post anything. just what i was going to surgest as thewireguys are in your area give them a call. This will save time and money. this forum is a very powerful port to finding the best cctv solution but it is very hard to give advice over the forum without seeing the install and as thewireguys are in PA. not only with you joining the forum for advice it has also given you a installer on you doorstep.

    Does 4x2 = 8?

yes the avermedia does accept alarm inputs but you are best of running it on the cm3000 software if you are thinking of running two eb1304. this will let you have all 8 on one screen and you can keep adding 4 ways. cm3000 is a free down load from avermedia. H/drives onboard 1 tr or like most avers including the new 4 ways you can add external raid. plus also record from the cm3000 software (about 3-4 fps off site) and you also get the iMatrix software with avers which also lets you config screen set-up

    CNB Mona Lisa

have used a couple very good image. i just wish they would not fit the fly lead out of the back of the camera. if you wanted to come out of the conduit plugs you have to buy a new fly lead. i will send you a ip address i will leave it open for 12hrs so you can see how good they are. all outdoors are vbm 24 the internal are all vbp 5314 550tvl
  20. i have just done a full costing on all the cameras you have listed and i would question the price and also requst a full spec sheet. the first problem i see is a cctv company would not use a bullit camera in a elevator. this should be a vandal dome or a purpose elevator camera. also your ptz cameras are only 18x zoom. which for the area seem to have a small zoom. also you have not put in if they are using redwall sensors for your ptz which is a major piece of kit with using so many ptz. i am with rory on get another quote because the cameras you have quoted are over 3 years old and i know sunkwang or as called now huviron have stoped making one of the cameras listed
  21. the speco cameras are re named. and are a bit out dated as the company released new models over 12 months ago. they seem to be to many dome cameras which will only give you 10 to 15m ir lighting at night. and you dont mention any lighting for your ptz cameras Everfocus are a very good camera but without lighting at night. is your price $350.000 in cluding the $75.000 for conduit work and also what dvr will thay be installing. i am a little suprised for the size of your system that they have not gone ip or at leased hybrid to expand at a later date

Backup camera with 28 IR LEDs...any good?

its a sharp chipset, how high spec can it be ??? sure hes asking for a reversing camera, but his use is outside what the industry can be bothered making. maybe its a kiwi thing. if they don't make it, build it ! i would rather he know what hes getting in for rather than just get pawned off with what ever is on the shelf and end up being disappointed. especially if he picks the right camera, he can simply pop the cover off and swap the lens to something that suits his needs. Tweak. outside of his needs. crap have you used one. its high spec the picture quality and field of view is A1. like i said its fitted to RVs worth thousand of dollars. find the solution for the customer not make the customer fit the solution so lets buy a reversing camera take it apart change lens put back together 2 months down the line water gets in blows the camera oooooohhhh customer has no warranty so tweak you buy cameras fitt for the job.

    How to avoid "smart" customers?

when they call you back to say they can buy cheaper.............ask them to call you back in 20mins and you will have a better price the do something like this LOL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWeTlJi3eJ4
