Backup camera with 28 IR LEDs...any good?

buying a camera then chaging the lens is not a good idea you need the camera to be water proof and also air tight. plus were you need to mount it you want a good steel camera these are not a bad camera can evan have sound. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.rockyamericas.com/usa/pic/cw086Gal.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.rockyamericas.com/usa/hotDeals.html&usg=__4samyX_slDRRTIoCKvT0fb2h-0Y=&h=325&w=325&sz=40&hl=en&start=191&um=1&tbnid=9UGmBaBE53wVfM:&tbnh=118&tbnw=118&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dreversing%2Bcamera%2Busa%26ndsp%3D21%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox%26sa%3DN%26start%3D189%26um%3D1
  2. Hi kevin. you might be able to get away with filters on your dome cameras if it is just a light problem. as far as sound looking at the spec it will take 4 mics.

Backup camera with 28 IR LEDs...any good?

both cameras you have posted and both will do the job you need. both cameras will be colour in the day and switch to b/w at night then your ir will come on. both the cameras are made as reverse cameras so i would not bother looking at lens types.

Backup camera with 28 IR LEDs...any good?

the camera you posted is ideal for your needs. it is built for just your purpose. and the other good thing about the camera you posted is you have the flip picture mode. makes it a good reversing camera.

** Simple Pocket knives will become illegal. **

this law is already in use in the uk. see link below. i also spent time in america and one night went out with friends to a bar i started playing on a slot machine and after a while i won a ticket that you exchanged at the bar for a prize. it was a leather bound case with 4 small knives with golden eagles on the handles. i was so pissssssssss## that i could not bring them back to the uk. http://www.goxplore.net/guides/Knife_law_(UK)

    DVR and VoIP

sounds like a lot more things to go wrong yes the mobotix is a very good camera (Q24) but most people that use the mic and speaker find that the speaker is not very load. and one thing that gets me is if you disable the mic from a Q24 its gone for ever or at least till you send it back to mobotix to be reset at a cost. everything with mobotix has a cost (never ending) the avermedia sa5000 has what you need and it works very well oooooooooooppps you cant buy it in america.

Recording quality vs cheap camera (samples)

first have a look at your smart recording. this is when your dvr records in poor quality till it picks up movement. it should give you options to change settings. but i would say set your dvr to motion only record and see how it goes. also if you are thinking of changing and you have not built a card based pc then buy a dvr it will be cheaper for you in the long run.
  20. hi its the same app on both. and its free.just go to itunes and look for averdigi viewer. how is it in yorkshire.
  21. like soundy says. you dont need a ground strap. just dont touch the lens. most cameras will cope with a little static. and dose not cause a problem. take a look at ptz cameras steel gears with nylon belts. ideal combo for static but causes no problem.
  22. Hi swampguinni. you dont need any software for any avermedia. it will work on any phone or smartphone/ pda/iphone. all of which have very good remote viewing. but with a pda i.e htc phones you have multi screen and you can also record. pm me for iphone app. but any other phone just dial in to your recorder.
  23. yes you can upgrade and downgrade and also add ip patch. and all this is free. as far as old . remember all avers have the same viewing software.
  24. yes bad image display and play back ghosting around image. anything with the 7.7 software has the problem. the 5116 has been out for just on 2 years and cheaper than the 5216.
