    DVMRe PRO

  2. Have you checked on dallmeier? They've got nice 1 channel DVR's with a central monitoring station.

    Everfocus camera

    Don't you need vandal-proof camera's?

    monitor/tv

Yep, should do it. Some cameras do even have a double coaxial output, which makes live easier.

    RG6 versus RG59

Do those little ones have a specific reference. Are they RG59, or other ... ?

I expect an integrated solution, which describes the functionalities of DVRExpert, but on a standard based solution, of the shelf ready to order and configurate. And this without any hassle for interfacing, drivers, etc ... And of course at a reasonable price.

    RG6 versus RG59

Lately, I saw some very thin coax cables, in use for demo installations. Is this also RG59, or another RG alike? Does anyone know which max. distance can be dealt with these cables?

Yeah right, This thing can do anything. But it's a framework, which needs all individual products to be interfaced to the commander software. This ain't a ready to use package.

    RG6 versus RG59

How about the available bandwith for video compared to RG59?

Have you got more info on the GE integration systems?

    RG6 versus RG59

Rory, Why should UTP give better quality to RG59? Can this be measured in a certain way? You mentiion active instead of passive utp; is there a difference in picture quality??
  12. Has anyone had the chance to put all the PIXIM cameras in test?? I've seen the GE XP1, and it's amazing. Never saw such a quality on backlight compensation? Any more info on test results of Baxall, JVC, Pelco??
  13. Rory, Seems to me that the interesting part of it lies in an 'open system' where multiple systems can connect to a surveillance monitoring station. Being independant of brands, types, compression technologies is the only way it seems very interesting to me. If there would be any standard, life would be easier for these concepts.
  14. On an installation We've got multiple pc's connected with Wavereader to a DVMRe. Untill last week. Apparently one PC was equiped with a VPN software, to be able to connect it to the outside world via the local network. Unfortunately, this broke down the Wavereader connection. Wavereader still opens, but can't make any connection to the DVMRe. Video cannot be made available, and also the system info can't be uploaded anymore. Although all other network functionality is still working. And the other pc's who haven't got the software adaptations can also still connect to the Wavereader and see video. Are there any parameters which can be checked on the PC in order to see if Wavereader could have a problem with video. Any ideas where to look for?? Many thanks,

    Wavereader connection problem

Don't know about that. Will check it out. What do you mean; that the VPN software takes the incoming information from the DVMRe, which were sent to the Wavereader??
  16. Does there exist a solution on Kalatel DVMRe to cascade multiple machines with one central management for live (multi) viewing and management of recorded images. I'm thinking of a comparable solution to the Philips LTC2605/91 solution. Has anyone in the world got experience with these systems. Which are the pros and cons? Many thanks,
  17. LTC2605/91 Hope the link works: http://www.boschsecurity.us/ItemPage.cfm?PrdctGroup_ID=12&cntry_ID=47&lang_ID=1
  18. Rory, I mentionned live, meaning not via network or Wavereader
  19. Isn't dummy the same as fool. So dummy cameras haven't got anything to do with professional CCTV.
  20. Bluto, Which are the pros of the March system, apart from the central management software. Can these products compete on e.g. stability, compression, recording speed, ... Hadn't heard about the March system untill now, so I'm very intersted to get some handson info. Many thanks,

    Thanks for the info!

    Wanna see my Puter????

Nice photo. But what's the blue thing in the middle? (It looks like a small heating system)
  23. Rory, Thanks for your input. In fact, I'm looking for a live video solution, which is being prefered by the client over the Wavereader software. That's why the Philips solution which acts like a switching matrix with integrated DVR features suites fine. Just feeling unlucky that Kalatel hasn't got this feature.

    GE CMOS Camera

Has anyone got information on practical results of the GE CMOS camera, which seems to be quite a revolution in CCTV world?
