  1. Hello all,

I would like to view my Hikvision ip cameras from multiple locations.

I have three locations I want to monitor from a central location.

I also want to be able to record all three locations from one cental location.

Please let me know if this is possible and the price for 24ch Avigilon Standard license as I am currently using a demo version of Acc6 which tech support gave me for 30 days.

    Thank You

  2. Who makes the best text inserter for IP cameras? Hikvision?

For IP CCTV systems where the DVR/NVR has already been installed and then the end user wants integration to the Point Of Sale you now have a solution for IP Cameras.

The VR100IP Stand Alone Text Inserter for IP Video has been demonstrated compatible with HKVISION camera model: DS-2CD2132F-IS.

    See at: http

    Hope this helps.

Wow $1.700 for each unit ..... That is twice the price of a market leader

  4. Hello.

How did you come to this "assumption" that you have hidden cameras in the premise?

What makes you sure, suspect, or believe this?

So I've been under the assumption for a while now that my house has been bugged with cameras. I bought a mini hidden camera detector but it hasn't seemed to help whatsoever. The cameras are not visible to the naked eye and I'm pretty sure they are hidden within the vents in my house. I also believe that the wiring for the camera system has been set up in the attic. I really need someones expert advice on this. I don't have anyone to turn to right now as no one believes me but I'm really sure this is happening. Thank you...

  5. Put the camera on the the side wall looking at the door. Something like this perhaps.

This thread brings up a great problem, which I'm facing also. FRONT DOOR CAMERA PLACEMENT.

By placing the camera ABOVE the door, gets the tops of peoples heads more than face shots. Putting a camera "eye level" creates other problems, people being able to touch and manipulate the camera (cover it with their hands, touch it, adjust it, move it, steal it, damage it, etc)

The small covert camera's I've seen are NEVER IP66+ rated, so can't be used outside. So what do you do?

  6. The run it in emt conduit in any exposed areas such as garage, attic, basement ceiling, etc.

Cheaper and more secure from tampering.

Why would you use non-plenum wire in a household environment? The risk to humans in the area (in case of fire) is simply not worth it in my opinion.

  7. Please circle in the picture what you think is unacceptable quality. You can save the photo and make circle in MS Paint.

I see some areas of the image that are soft or slightly out of focus but think this is maybe bad camera lens. Should be obtaining replacement camera shortly to confirm.

I think as a professional that looks at HD/Megapixel images all day every day those images are sub par. If someones face was that bush and you needed to ID that person (which you should be able to) you would be out of luck and WASTED $200.

  8. I would recommend you look into an IP system. Video quality and resolution is much better then analog. Dahua branded systems are very good and widely recommended on this forum.

  9. I don't understand.

From what I have seen usually garage doors need a momentary connection (perhaps about 500 ms).

Why do you need a pulsing trigger?

On residential garage doors I have seen at least that will just start the garage door, pause it and then reverse it...

keep in mind that your garage door opener only need short 1-2 sec pulse to open door

Yep. Got it. Exacq can do pulses, right?
