  1. Anybody? Purchased a second one today and same thing.
  2. I have a client that wants a axis onboard camera with edge software for a van. I have done a bunch of these installs at store locations but none mobile. My question is how to power the equipment all day and not have it cycle everytime they start the van or drain the batteries. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  3. I have put a bunch of these up but never done any audio, Im using the exacq edge software and am looking at trying the T8351 microphone, this will be for a classroom. Will this mic work OK? Its msrp is 150 there other mic is 450. Also Can anybody recommend a speaker as well. Thanks in advance
  4. Look into cradle point routers , there not cheap about 600 bucks. I have about 15 over Verizon 4g and they work great but if your gonna view/watch them a lot data would not be cheap.
  5. Thanks guys. I have been using SanDisk extreme from get go and zero failures so far.
  6. Does anyone know if these work yet? 64 is not cutting it at a couple of my sites.
  7. If so what are the best brands, trying to expand my business this year! Thanks
  8. I am designing a job right now where I have some runs of 500-1000' that have existing coax (not sure of gauge assume the worst) from there legacy analog system. What can I use to keep the coax and also power the new cameras? The new cameras will most likely be Avigilon 3-5 mp bullets with IR or axis P series with Ir. Can I use the old power wires of the coax to power the camera directly or do I buy a device that takes the power from the old coax with and spits out poe? Thanks in advance
  9. Thanks everyone for responses. I am going with NVT simply because Adi sells them.
  10. Thanks , gonna order them from adi tomorrow .
  11. Your gonna need a switch that supports POE to power your cameras, or buy a NVR that has that built in. Hikvision makes one. Keep in mind ethernet rules apply no runs longer than 330' . A handy tool for terminating cat 5/6 in the ezrj crimp tool.
  12. Thank you, I had a browser issue not letting me open the drop downs. " title="Applause" />
  13. Can I edit a user to have right to select cameras? I couldn't figure it out . Or can I have a vga monitor output with just one camera but still have the hdmi act normal.
  14. Thanks for your smart ass reply. I have looked everywhere again and can not figure it out, I am logging in remotely with admin and do not see any type of way to limit cameras to login. I will call Hikvision Monday and post how to on here when i figure it out. This is the NVR 7700 series.
  15. This is my first Hikvision NVR, install went smooth and was working great but it appears to have lost its network connection . When I was installing this I think it happened shortly after getting online but I chalked it up to a bad port on cable modem and swapped it to different port. Worked great rest of day and could remote in from home, app worked fine. Now no connection to nvr but I can ping router. Power is on, have connectivity. This is the 16 port 4TB with built in poe don't have model number handy. Any ideas? Is this common? I hope the Hikvision isn't junk Thanks
  16. Thanks , I was/is excited about trying Hikvision , there pricing alows me to be competive with some of the small business and residental .
  17. So the nvr lasted about 10 hours and is dead does not power up at all. Was plugged into surge protector. Hikvision said they have never heard of this. Anyone else?
  18. You will be fine but the previous poster is correct you always want a "home run". If that connector is outside it can get wet or moist and corrode then you will have problems.
  19. Arm ever installed Hikvision before, is there any license fees for this nvr ?
  20. Does anyone have one I could use as a starting point? Any help would be great.
  21. Just IP cctv mainly avigilon and axis cameras with avigilon or exacq software/nvrs.
  22. Looks real nice , wonder what the price will be?
  23. What about this record to sd card and it's discreet . http://www.axis.com/products/p12_series/ For power don't they make a solar panel that plugs into cig lighter? Just some ideas If you wanted to watch live you could hook up a craddlepoint 4g router. Good lcuck and if you catch them post the video for us.
  24. Any one point me in the right direction for a supplier for poles and outdoor enclosures? Will be mounting 2 cameras and have a nvr and switch and internet hookup in enclosure. Also any tips on grounding etc would be helpful. Thanks
