    Zmodo 4 ch DVR help

I realize this is now an older post, but it's impossible to answer a question when we don't know what model "DVR" you have and what you are trying to connect to!
  2. Looking for Analog or IP ? I suggested "cable" for that distance, but they bucked up at the idea. They want "wireless" and at this point, I wouldn't care if it was Analog. Dennis
  3. Commercial Wireless up to 400 yards? Have an inquiry from one of my clients: Does anyone know of any Wireless Commercial Camera system(s) that could transmit video up to 400 yards, with duplex audio. Are there any video xmitter/receiver systems (don't need record) that could accomplish this? Dennis

    What is my DVR firmware?

Those are being sold on eBay and Amazon. Have you tried contacting the dealer in Oxnard California in regard to this?

    Connect two DVR recorders

I agree with the purchasing with a new 8ch DVR, but there is a short term thing that would allow it. If the one DVR has a video output jack, then connect the video out on the DVR that doesn't have a hard-drive into a camera input jack on the one that does have a hard-drive. Don't recommend this method, but until you get a new 8ch unit, that would work. Kind of generic and crude, but,,,,,,,,,

    h.264 network dvr question

PC formatting is different than security DVR formatting. Also, DVR's require a different type hard-drive than PC's. DVR's also have a size limit on the drive that they will accept. More info about yours would help. h264 is a compression type and not a model number. Really doesn't mean anything in regard to troubleshooting, except that is a newer type.

Need help with avtech h.264 hdd

According to the manual, you are limited to 2TB.

Need help with avtech h.264 hdd

Check your manual and see if the DVR can handle a 4TB drive. I'm questioning that because of the age of the DVR. What is the model number of the DVR?

    Clinton DVR file recovery

Shadow DVR's by Clinton that I have experience with, have their video files saved as .avi. Don't know if that is the case for you. The .jpg files that I have opened were screen shots. You might try .bmp. In the SMS/backup/Config files, that'd what they appear to be saved as.
  10. You say that you "tried" to activate activeX. Did you reset the permissions in "Internet Options"?

    some cameras losing power?

If it's a commercial type (metal case with separate camera terminal connections), then yes that can happen. As it is, I just made a service call on a commercial 42 camera system and 2 of them had lost power. There are "fuses" on the outputs on some units and they can open. Some are resettable. Not uncommon.
  12. I have commercial "analog" systems using Siamese RG59/18-2 with messenger running overhead from 400' to 600' with no issues at all. Some at 10 years old and not one failure. Some camera's have been replaced with better resolution at cash register and other security area's with no issue's at all in subject recognition. Tried a system with outdoor rated cat6 and the wind caused cable issue's within a year. Never again! Almost got sued over a wireless system as it was horribly unreliable and seem to drop out just when and where the playback was needed.

    HDCVI Signal Problem

I'm real curious to know what you find out by switching camera's.

    HDCVI Signal Problem

In case I missed something, is it possible that you could switch the camera's on the same floor and see if the "noise" stays with the same cable, or the noise stays with the "noisy" camera? 200' is nothing on good Siamese RG59/18-2 cable. I have camera's running 400' outside in the weather with no issues like that. It's hard for me to think that you have a power issue with a 20 Amp Power Supply, especially when some of the camera's are working just fine. I have had an issue once, where the camera's were metal cased and the mounting screws went into metal studs, instead of wood or drywall and that caused a "noisy issue". I also have viewed camera comparison's of SDI, CVI, TVI and AHD (side by side) and wasn't happy with the SDI or CVI. I know that there are different results with different camera's, but the example that I saw was the case. In your case, if the camera's are all the same, then more than likely you have another issue. Dennis
  15. Do you have a link for the User Manual for that DVR?
  16. Have you tried "12345" ? Appears to be a common password for LTS units. Of course if the previous owners changed it, then,,,,,,,,

    Help please!!

Your question is too generic to receive an intelligent answer. Knowing the exact model number of the DVR from the bottom of the unit might be a help along with model numbers of the existing camera's. Also, connectivity of "phones" to access remotely is dependent upon what software you are using and what type phone, "Android/version and/or IPhone. There can be access issues with all DVR companies, when "everything" required isn't. Also comes up the issue of whether or not you are attempting to access your system via a phone, either via Wi-Fi or 3G/4G and within what ISP at the location. Supply the forum with as much information as you can possibly supply. Even that you "feel" isn't important.
  18. To be able to determine what the correct ports are, we would need the model number of your DVR/NVR. Also the point about your upload speed is correct. If you are using a DVR/NVR that has the QR code scan setup, you must use Zsight. If you try connecting via Zviewer, you will have connectivity issues. If your DVR/NVR doesn't have the QR Code Scan setup, then Zviewer is the correct app. I am currently having issues of connectivity from/to identical ISP hotspot areas. Too difficult to explain here.
  19. Have you tried running that program in "Compatibility Mode"?
  20. With that model, you have to generate a master password that must be entered directly to the unit. There aren't any pins to jumper. Possibly contacting Zmodo, you can get that done.
  21. If you don't find an answer in the mean time, I'll check with Zmodo support and see what I can find out.

    DVR Playback issue - HELP!

May not be relevant in your case, but did your DVR come with a hard-drive installed? If it did, then it's possible that it has failed. Either way, you must have an operating hard-drive within the unit for recording and playback to be possible.
  23. I have chosen not to contact Longse Electronics, what may appear to some to be minor, but,,,,,, I have had to block their emails from my inbox because of the constant and numerous one's that I had to delete, day after day after day. I have chosen since to deal with another Chinese company direct and will see how that goes.
  24. Across 75 Ohm load Yep, it's been like that since I got into the electronics field when I was only 14 years old. 58 years ago and still at it.
  25. The standard video output is 1V Peak to Peak. Has been that way for many, many years.
