  1. Not all the DVR cards are clones in China.

maybe only 20% customers use clone ones.

most of them use original DVR cards, such as Hikvision,High-easy,Hanban 15 series H.264 haedware compression DVR cards, most of them are much better than those Kodicom even original ones.

and some low cost solutions now are original such as 7130chipsets,23881 chipsets.they are attractive in cost and quality.

  2. I am looking at a PC based system - company called Optiview out of FL. Their systems are all made in Asia but they stick their sticker on them. I get to do the install myself and they gurantee the product for a year. Their website is:

They would not tell me the name of the original manufaturer. Their asking price:

    1. 8 CH 240FPS 120GIG CDRW NET --$3000

    2. 3.5-8mm Color Varidome cameras -- $159.00 each

Anybody out there have any experience with this product?

Do the prices look reasonable and do you think the product will be reliable and effective? They do have a demo on their web-site but I wasn't able to access it which is not a good indication.

    Sorry for the cross-post.

  6. I need to find a PC based DVR card or DVR SERVER.

    It needs to have 32 channels @ 920fps (30fps/channel)

Any Ideas? I've only seen 2 on ebay, and one of them is only 480fps

the other is 920fps, but it is from edigitaldeals. Any feedback would be

    greatly appreciated!

    u can use our

    4X KN408HCI

    2X KN4016HCSI

    4X KN1508

to build 32ch real time DVR easily.

    It's a small case,with these cards,u can get Max=64ch(1920fps) per PC system.haha.....

and our Kn408HCI also can do this.

both can do max 64ch per system in real time.

u can view our website:www.dvrworld.com to find them.

  9. I seen alot of questions about frame rates, resolution and compression

    1) does anyone know of a card that will record at 30fps at hi res?

I know Chance i's hardware boards do. Does anyone else?

--->there are many kinds of DVR cards from China market can do real time:120fps/4ch,240fps/8ch,480fps/16ch.such as KN40xx HCI series,KN15xx series,KAV4000/KAV8000...and so forth. and for hardware compression card, max do 64ch per system.

    2) My older Chance i card mpg 12004 is pretty good but still is grainy on the record end. even at 702x480 but one i just installed is grainy even on the real time display?

    --->abt resolutons:we have D1(704*576),CIF(352*288) optional

    3) What are the differences between mpeg-4 and H-264? Is the extra compression worth the loss of quality? as mpeg-4 is still not perfect. Is there anything out there the compares to a camera directly connected to a cctv monitor?

    --->H.264 is a standard of MPEG(part 10).and it gathered the advancement of H.263 and MPEG4.compare with MPEG4,it compresses more in rate.for a example,the same video record,only 70% capability for H.264.

  10. Now in the market there are many kinds of DVR cards.

so how can we judge who is the best one for us and choose one who meet our requirements?

now we can judge it from the below features:

    1.Compression format:

H.264 is the most advance compression format now.

    MPEG4 is 2nd advanced.

    MJPEG is 3rd class

    2.Resolutions:

    D1(704*576,pal;640*480,ntsc)

    half-D1(704*288)

    CIF(352*288)

    3.Hardware or software compression

Normally, hardware compression is expensive than others.and can do more channels in one PC system.

4.Real time or Un-real time in recording

Not the more advanced ones ,the more best.u shall choose the right one who can meet ur requirements.

  11. Hi,

You must get a hundred of the Pico 2000 card questions - sorry.

I'm just seeing what I can do at home with a couple of cameras and a dvr card, so I bought an eBay dvr cheapie. It works, but it also maxes out my CPU at 100 percent, 100 percent of the time, resulting in very high CPU temps. I'd like to let it run all day, but I'm afraid of overheating my system.

Do the more expensive cards do this also? Should I invest in a better card or in water-cooling? Or is there a way I can set it to not use 100 percent of the CPU?

    Thanks!

Conexant Fusion 878 PICO2000 is a 8bit software compression un real time card.(most of it are clone ones).

bcoz it is a SOFTWARE compression DVR card,it means when compression is running,it will use and occupy your PC CPU and memories.

If u use other Hardware compression card, the CPU occupy rate will come down.
