if you just want a graphical map to show your clients the positioning of the cameras you could use a program like Microsoft Visio

most cameras these days have a life span of 3-5 years i believe, with some obviously lasting much longer

i do not believe geovision can do this by itself, there may be some 3rd party software that will do this

airtight does not mean water will not get through it especially left 24/7 submerged

I have searched and searched and have not found a PTZ that can be submerged 24/7............probably safe to say one does not exist for this immediate application

when you say your system is crashing.......does it shut down completely? does it reboot? also are you getting any video lost?

It is limited, best thing is to email geovision your goal of using the SDK and they can usually tell you if it will do what you want it to do or not

sounds like at some point everyone in the classroom is just not moving much and nothing is being detected by the cameras as movement to start recording

does it full screen on other monitors? i've seen directdraw overlay or de-interlace when disabled cause this problem.........your problem allow may be whatever type of card that is
