  1. I am sorry to tell you that our product cannot update from Chinese to other language,

because we donot want our domestic product sell to overseas,so our all product have this update limited.

Sorry, but as an European I don't understand this sort of thinking.

First: Support in Dahua NOT EXIST. You are not answering for emails, any help for your devices. Is this "protection"?.

Second: Sellers in China very often are cheating buyers. As me few days ago, when I received NVR with Chinese menu. I asked about English. "Yes, of course, English menu". When package arrived I saw Chinese hashes on the display. I asked about this. "Yes, PSS software is on the cd". And now company which wants to be the best and take care of consumers, should give me a hand. I don't want help for free. If you are hesitate about your firmwares, you can send an email with instructions how configure device to connect it from the Internet and remotely upload a firmware after payment, I think about 10, 15 USD. Or generate firmware with a key connected with serial number, and send it to customer.

    Everybody will be happy.

I am buying Dahua devices about from one year. I have few problems with devices. Nobody from you helped me. I don't want miracles. I would like to get some help for a money.

  2. Hi,

I have a problem in one localisation.

There are 10 cameras outside. As NVR is Dahua 4116H device.

8 cameras are connected by POE switch, 2 cameras has own power supply and they are directly plugged into switch. 2 cameras, POE switch and NVR are connected to 1 Gb Asus branded switch.

From the first days in cameras are these lines in log:

It seems that a NVR (192.168.1.109) is still login and logout from each of camera. After few days working each of camera is hanged and must be disconnected. After powering again a NVR is connecting to the camera and all is working fine by next few days.

    From a NVR log:

    What I done?.

    - changed an admin password to default "admin"

    - changed Motion detection (which works very good) to Continous recording

    - checked wires to cameras

    - changed POE switch

    - changed one 8 POE ports switch to 2x 4POE ports switch

    - removed Internet from this network

    - checked DHCP settings and range in TP Link router

    - replaced switch in this network to Asus 1 Gb 5 ports.

When camera is hanged up, I can't login by WWW, sometimes I can login by Telnet.

I have few this NVR 4116H in other localisations and there is no problem.

    What I will do:

    - I will replace power supply to a NVR

    - I will try to replace an NVR to other one

    - I will connect an UPS device

On Dahua's site I have found:

message: I have two cameras IPC-HDW4200S (firmware 2.420) and a NVR NVR 4104P (Poe) (firmware 3.2300.VT00.0.R). Cameras are connected both to the NVR integrated poe switch. After some days (5-7) both the cameras lose the connection. In the NVR log i can read the messages "REMOTE INFO" and the cameras starts to LOGIN and LOGOUT. Any suggestion ? Could be a firmware problem ? After a software reboot of the NVR the cameras start to work properly... Thanks

Reply: Solution 1: Check if the network environment is good and the network cable hole plug of IPC end is loose. Solution 2: Check if there is IP conflict. Solution 3: Check if the device is under normal power supply. Solution 4: Check if the device upgraded to a wrong program.

A NVR is an English menu. Cameras?. Probably too, but I don't know. But are with an English language. But the same cameras are working correctly in other places from September, 2014.

  3. Today arrived to me Dahua 4300S-V2 with an English menu

    IPC HFW4300S V2

    SW: 2.210.000.12.R build 2014-02-25

    Web 3.2.1.170795

I tried to update it to 2014-04-19 and camera is rebooting and web interface is not available.

Dahua is a piece of **** I see...

I tried to do update, because in original software were not few settings, which was interesting for me...

Is there any possibility to download all flash memory from camera before update, to have possibility upload it by TFTP again?. I have few working cameras with this software.

  4. Hi, all Dahua's 4300s are described as IPC-HFW4300S-V2 on the labels.

I compared mainboards of "good" device and this one. All is the same, printed letters are the same, etc. It was only software trouble. Probably I tried to upload higher version than it was. Maybe if I try lower version than was, all would be ok. Now I can not test it .

This version of firmware I saw on same movie on YouTube in English, NTSC version when some guy was tested this camera. But I could not find this version...

  5. The broadcast IP is correct. You might be thinking of the gateway IP address which is a different thing. Broadcast addresses are typically going to be the IP address where the host part of the subnet is all ones in binary (255 in the last octet of a class C address like yours, for example). But don't worry about that, it won't affect you really.

    Yes, I recall it... Thanks.

Sounds like you might need to reflash or flash a different version if the web interface isn't working.

Yes, there is as I supposed. Now I am searching this firmware which was originally in camera. It was Chinese Pal version from 21.06.2014. Maybe I will find it and it can change something.

I will try to connect this camera to Dahua's NVR with POE. After connecting this, POE switch is changing all settings and take control on the camera. If it will work in this configuration it will be ok for me. I don't need web interface...

  6. I connected to camera by Telnet and I see something strange.

    inet addr:192.168.1.101 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

    Broadcast is changed to 192.168.1.255.

    Question:

How I can change it in camera? It was set to 192.168.1.1 before "force" upgrading. On other Dahua's 4300s this firmware from 2014-12-05 was upgraded successfully.

    Edit:

I checked it on other, working camera and Bcast is the same as this...

  7. Hello Guys,

Today I received ordered Dahua IPC-HFW4300S-V2 camera. Camera as usuall. But after start I saw Dahua's logo and Chinese letters. Login as usuall: admin/admin. Inside all in Chinese. Firmware is:

    IPC-HFW4300S-V2

    2.420.0002.0.R build 2014-06-21

    WEB: 3.2.4.184667

    ONVIF: 2.4.1

I tried to upload firmware from 2014-04-19 and latest from 2014-12-05 by Dahua Config Tool and firmware is uploading and after few seconds there is a message that Updating was not successfully or similar.

It seems as blocked firmware inside.

I connected to the camera by Telnet and there is normal "inside": BusyBox and files tree same as other 4300s's.

Do You have any idea how to replace this firmware to an English version?.

    Regards,

    Lukasz
