One of the most common sales/tech questions out there is in regards to integrating Geovision with a POS system. The main thing is to make sure you have a POS system that output in serial ASCI text. Often, with POS systems it is impossible or nearly impossible to emulate a serial output without connection to an external printer. If you are going to buy an external printer, I highly reccomend Epson, since we have it working with Geo in our showroom.

With Internet Connectivity, there are 2 things; upload speed and download speed. For a Geo server, the main thing is upload speed. Many DSL and satellite lines give insulting upload speeds. However, if you bandwidth is that weak, make sure to cap the number of channels serving in the Geo software so you dont choke your upload.

Good Idea! There is a large Spanish population involved in cctv. Do you speak Spanish and English well enough to translate important threads and information? We have Spanish sales and techs that are very helful to our Spanish speaking customers so I know for a fact this would be a great idea.

Unless they're bringing something unique to the table like a new feature or recording compression, or if their pricing is really insane, I say stick with Geovision. Way more systems out there, so you know they are going to be around for RMA reasons, keeping your systems the same, and new software releases and patches.
