If need to contact Nuvico - Use the contact form on nuvico.com or call them at 1-201-541-1605. The number in the manual may be old.

We can assist possibly if this comes up again for anyone else.
-
Doubtful, but that would be something that would have to really be figured out from the BlueIris side. Some like Milestone can take an rtsp stream from embedded recorders as individual ip camera channels.

Have over 700 pieces available. Want to clear them out of warehouse to make space for new inventory. Make offer if intersted.

There is actually this thread going on currently that explains this pretty well.

Nice special effect with the Batman / Robin. I like it. I figured I'd update it in case anyone comes across it. It is good to know.

Geovision IP Cameras work as ONVIF in most leading VMS products.

Or you can get setup with a distributor that stocks all the brands I mentioned, is reliable, offers reseller pricing for online resellers, and drop ships for you.

We've been carrying the Topaz Line from GE and it seems nice. We are installing a demo in our office to play with more. Any experiences with this system. The config seems really simple and the software seems to have any feature I can think of.

Just kind of an FYI, Dedicated Micros does offer an excellent 3 Year Advance RMA policy to help counteract for the fact that you are not supposed to fix hard drives yourself.

Do you mean CPCam?
-
great points. Avermedia is definitely an expert when it comes to video quality and they are catching up in terms of software and features.
-
oh i see, i see, now the price makes more sense at least. thanks for clearing that up, i should not have assumed.

my wife has him on such a routine, little dude sleeps all night.

the only camera i can see is a parked car. how far is that camera from the car?
-
thanks for the link. is this the 240 foot IR camera?
-
nicely done
-
240 feet for under $75, nice. i'd like to see how good that picture quality is.
I would rather get more information to better recommend the proper camera for this application.
Ronnstor, are you still with us? Can you provide more details?
There is no reason to give you more horsepower than you need or shortchange ya.

Yeah, I mean quality of video has to be the first spec to compare. Good points. Avermedia is a hardware manufacturer and video board manufacturer so there emphasis is on capturing and compressing the best video quality.
Geovision is ahead on the software and marketing side, but they are not ahead on the video quality side.
I should say that if the video quality is very close, it is not to have some specif features especially if you will use them regulary.

The DOM unit is an industrial grade disk on module device (1 Gigabyte in size) and the whole image cannot be edited from other software.
There is no switch on the DOM to prevent writing because the software will still need to write to it especially DVR settings and XP Embedded settings such as IP address, etc.
