  1. Well, after multiple tries of password reset I find the solution on the firmware re-installation. Using a firmware that is available on the product website and the TFTPserver I re-installed the latest available firmware (which is older than the one which was already installed) and I can do my job at last.
  2. Didn't work either. It is really frustrating that I am lock out of the device and there is nothing that I can do. Hikvision should probably reconsider their reset password policy. I have contacted the support but they haven't responded yet.
  3. Still no luck. I tried to reset with SADPTool V3, the older version V2 and the iVMS-4200 client which only accepts 8 characters.
  4. Thank you for the reply, but unfortunately non of them worked. For the serial number I noticed that you skipped the first few letters, which are actually the model of the device. In my case the model is DS-7104HGHI-E1 so the remaining SN is 0420160121AAWR570364329WCVU Is there a possibility that this is the problem?
  5. It didn't work. One possible explanation is that the serial number I gave to you (which was: DS-7104HGHI-E1 0420160121AAWR570364329WCVU) has an extra blank character inside (my mistake). The exact serial number of the device is (without blanks): DS-7104HGHI-E10420160121AAWR570364329WCVU Is it possible to get the key for this one? Please note that the start date now is: 1970-01-02 and soon it is going to be 1970-01-03
  6. 1979-01-01 ----S9QeQzzyeR let me know if its working Thanks for the key but by the time I tried to set it, the date had changed to 1970-01-02 and it failed.
  7. I have forgotten the password on my DVR and I am looking for the reset key. Below I provide with the device information. Any help is appreciated. Serial Number: DS-7104HGHI-E1 0420160121AAWR570364329WCVU Start Time: 1970-01-01 20:50:48 Firmware: V3.4.1 build 151221
