  1. Hi, my company is currently looking for a surveillance solution, and a partner of ours come up with 2 solutions, one based on vpon dvr + yoco cameras and the other with a dvr from geovision.

Can anyone provide me with some feedback about these products?

The price diference between them is quite high, vpon is rather more expensive than geovision.

    thanks in advance.

I also hope to get more info about VPON . Anyway, I think Geo is good at software compression products. The software has many features. You can find many info about geo in this forum. The price is mainly depending on the hardware, but also varies much with different software.

  2. If there is a management software for security device, e.g. ip camera, alarm, access control, etc, what features your customers would like to have? Particularly, those not yet found in market.

Could you share with me your experience?

    Rgds, Dove

so far as I know, some customers would like to have many features while some others just want the basic functions with the software, as the price also varies with different software. Anyway, to develop a software with strong functions (Integration of mobil phone, IP cam, alarm, POS surveillence, access control , printers, etc ) surely will attract more customers.

  3. Read a zillion posts and still not sure what to get.

    I did find the Intellicam G4-16RTA-D1 .

Is there anything comparable or better for the money?

Netvision NV4008HF can set all channels at full D1. becides, stand-alone is also available, which can do 4CIF record all channels.

  4. my guess is that BettyBoop have cards/software for sale.....

    Sorry. My mistake.

I was only going by what I saw on there web site.

Where are they availabe for purchase.

    Hello

yes, Netvision has NV8016HF, which is 16 ch Video+16ch Audio, 4CIF record all channel, 480fps. To be frank, Netvision has adopted hikvision hardware, and hikvision also adopts Netvision software. Currently, Netvision hybrid DVR software has strong functions, it supports IP camera, Mobil phone, NVMP centralized surveillence system, POS-DVR surveillence system, and Access Control system, etc. Questions and comments are appreciated!

  5. I looked at the info on there site but didn't see the specs you mentioned.

This is the info I found for the DS-4016HCSI of there web site:-

'Note: The DS-4016HCSI can be set as 16 Channels QCIF/CIF compression resolution, it doesn't support DCIF/2CIF/4CIF compression resolution . '

    Hi

to be sure, DS-4016HCSI is another sery of hikvision, which is different from DS-4016HCI. Please confirm. DS-4008HF can set all channels at full D1. Just as JOINDVR said, DS-4008HF &DS-4016HCI can be used for up to 32ch at D1.

  6. Hi,

We already had contacts with Netvision.

As I said, I just simply need an EU importer, and particular EU country does not matter in this case. I will ask my questions to the importer directly. Your sales manager (seems not "in" EU, but more "for" EU) is not able to provide importers' contacts because of unknown reasons or different understanding of business management. For us is one very understandable rule: no contacts - no money. We just switch to other "manufacturer" when project time limits reached.

You as representative of Netvision (at least I can predict it from your signature) are able to contact your staff and send a private forum message with some contacts to me. Right? But you did not. Why? I am sure people, particularly installers and security managers, hate messages with no direct answers, or with promotional information or psychological push like "...look how big and strong we are...“ If you care about your products and company prestige you would try to send customer to right importer/business partner, because "there are many companies" who just buy and sell and finally have no any support possibilities. Am I wrong?

    Have a nice day!

Hi, glad to meet you again, and I really appreciate your idea. To be frank, Netvsion has offered OEM version to many customers, who have their own logos, and they don't want others to know that their software is manufactured by Netvision or other company. Netvision is just trying to protect their customer. But if you really interested in Netvision, please contact Netvision sales, surely they will give you more information.

  7. Yes. But at any 1 time, you can only connect and display up to 25 cameras per PC. The 64 Cameras version is in the work.

Unless what you are asking for is to display up to 2000 (500 x 4) cameras at a single time, then no. the system cannot display that. You'll need multiple pc to do that.

Hello, Daryl, thanks for reply. surely i'm not asking how many chs can be displayed, and i certainly know displaying 2000 cams in one PC is impossible although i'm very lacking in the professional knowledge. Anyway, currently, displaying 64 cams is possible for many systems. As for your CMS system, I'm wondering how many stand-alones can be added, not the channels. It's great that you can do over 500 DVRs. Really appreciate:P

  8. Recently i have been searching for DVR cards that have remote playback over IE. i-chance seems to be the only one i can find, very easy interface. I purchased a HiEasy DVr card hoping the same... but it's IE widget can only show live video and not play back ("search") through past video instantly like the i-chance.

So what DVR cards that you guys know of have IE search history function?

Oh yea... glad to have found this board.

    --Destro

Hi, Destro, I'd like to tell you Netvision software have the playback function over IE. In the interface, it has "search" and "r-search" function.

  9. 'd like to be able to pick from a variety of software packages, one thing I've been noticing is most times you have to install an ActiveX control to view the DVR over the net, which means you're only able to use IE and a Windows machine to view the feed. I'd like to be able to view the feed from any type of computer from any browser over the internet. It's also be nice to be able to use a software client to view the feed over the net if you're going to be viewing it from the same computer very often.

Hi, Justin. nice to see you here. With Netvision software, you can remotely view it through IE and also NVR client software, and with the hybrid DVR system, analog camera and IP camera can be used together, it can upmost add to 64chs.

  10. Im new to the cctv arena, Im looking for a good solution at home probably and 8 channel card, 4 its good, but I know I will like to add more cameras later on. The geovision seems what everyone is talking about. Any other cheap but good cards outthere, I would like to record at 30 FPS per channel. I think this migh be asked alot so if you find a link that would be just as good. I've been doing my research but so many options. I have learned about all the features that I want but quality of the card/software not much info there.

    Thanks

hi there, you can have a look at netvisiondvr.

  11. Can anyone suggest a medium-to-high-end DVR that will perform a little better and have decent support?

I need 8 and 16 channel models, hopefully in the $1000-2000 range (the other ones were under $1000). I need to record at full D1 resolution, fps is not as much of an issue. No audio necessary. Must be network capable.

Hello, nice to talk to you here. I suggest you have a look at Hikvision or Netvision products, which can meet your needs. The model NV4008HF can record at full D1, real time, no frame lost and supports IE view. It is much more cost-effective than Pelco
