Thanks for that, I switched to OSD Color and the flickering is over now.
-
Getting dark my IMX291 NVP2441 switches for tens of minutes between the color or BW mode.
Can I prevent/manage that problem with the OSD Settings?
-
Getting dark the image my IMX291 NVP2441 camera board gets more and more purple coloured.
From my part it could turn to BW now. Can I adjust in OSD the moment it start to turn to to BW?
It it possible to prevent in OSD the purple coloration too?

As much as possible I like to use my 12v 40A power unit for powering the Poe based cameras and the DVR/NVR both.
Can I safely connect my China based H.264 DVR/NVR by Cat 5e to a 12V Poe Switch or could that damage the DVR/NVR?
The DVR/NVR will be powered via the standard plug.

Your AHD cameras connect to your ADH DVR, not to a network switch. The DVR has only 4 fysical connections but it can handle more IP based cameras at the same time.
Then you would need IP cameras, not AHD cameras with baluns.
Thanks for your clear and helpful answer

Hi. Your best option is to spend money on replacing dvr.You will only be wasting money adding IP to a cheap dvr
Your camera link is to 4 in1 camera modules which supports CVI so just buy a 32 way or 2 16 way cvi hybrid DVRs.
No switches needed
For sure, 16 or 32 way realtime 25 fps would be great!
Given the budget limitations, working with CMS, switches and several DVR's is considered to be a good alternative.
IMX323+HI3516CV200 based IP modules are not that expensive compared to the boards already used but I have have to deal with the already available infrastrcuture too.

I dont think its that simple. Im not sure what device you have your AHD cameras connected to. You need some type of converter device like thisBut be aware that it only provides you with one IP output. So the 4 cameras would be combined to into one camera channel.
Also, your DVR is for 4 channels, so will the software allow you to see more than 4 channels?
Dont know alot about this, hopefully someone more knowledgable comments.
That's what I was afraid for...
My DVR
My cams
If so...buying replacement IP based camera boards might be cheaper...

Could be a ground loop. You're right!
My interference problems were solved at the moment the DVR, the PTZ and all the other camears were connected to one and the same power adapter.
-
Anybody who knows if an AHD-H module block will work in and "old styled" PTZ unit?Yes it will...just make sure you connect the ribbon cable in the right direction
In addition to that I learned that connecting my H264.DVR with this AHD-H PTZ camera only gave the choice 1080P if .....on beforehand I connected another AHD-H camera with this 4 channel AHD-D DVR. I can't explain but it is good to know...
This week I learned that a ground loop was the reason far all the difficulties I had. At the moment the DVR, the PTZ and all the other camears were connected to one and the same power adapter, all the problems were solved! The PTZ works flawlessly and I have zero video and sound interference.

Was playing around with the UTC based settings on my AHD-H camera (on a remote computer connected via internet to my H264.DVR).I turned on NTSC instead of PAL ....and my screen turned 100% black, stupid me!
Is there any change to get my PAL setting back?
Being on spot, I turned my DVR temporarily to NTSC instead of PAL to get entrance again ..et voila!

Hi Bubo>Make sure you have no interference
I have tested with 3 Kameras and different power adapters . Still Motion detection permanent. Thanks for your Settings, but what are the different to mine ?
Axel
The tiniest interference could spoil your motion recordings....make sure it's completely free of interference (at dark).
Make sure the sensivity is set to "the lowest".
Try a region as small as possible.

Hi. A good rg59 and cat5 for video....power ...... Rs485 and audioThanks for that!
What does it make better, possibly less video and sound interference problems?
-
Having an AHD-H DVR and plenty of RG59, Cat5e and shielded audio cables, I'm wondering what would give the best image quality and sound given a camera distance of 40 meter
1. a separate RG59, a separate shielded audio and a separate power cable to the camera and the microphone?
or
2. two passive 4 channel baluns and one Cat5e cable (for power, video, audio)?
Ps: could RS485 be added to the Cat5e cable too?

.. on image7 you can see md is on but dvr records permanent. even there is no motion ...Make sure you have no interference

Hi, i have the following dvrand this AHD Camera
but i get motion detection not to run. The dvr record permanently without interruption. can someone help me?
as i enabled Motion detection the dvr records even if no movement is detected. what could be wrong?
It looks like the menus of these unbranded dvr's all look the same.. the start is the hardest
How about:
SETTING-RECORD-RECORD
Record mode :timing
Week: all
Period 1: 0-24
Regular: blank
Detect: x
Alarm: blank
SETTING ALARM VIDEO MOTION
channel: 1
setting: 0-24
record channel: 1

I'm looking for the "PTZ" settings of my unbranded H264.DVR as get access to the OSD of my non PTZ AHD camera's.
Any suggestions?

Had the same type of interference, driving me nuts as it was registered as "motion". Working with an inexpensive unbranded Chinese 1080P H264.DVR and a similar AHD-H camera, I learned that I had to use another power supply (not to work any longer with a splitter and a joined adapter). Even more more important was plugging in an audio in cable.
-
I'm very happy with AHD instead of 700 TVL
-
It looks like vMeyesuper (via Android based machines only?) gives (all level of users?) access to the OSD settings of AHD Cameras via your AHD 264.DVR
I'm wondering if there's any manual/instruction at this point?
