  1. Well, for starters, for the cameras facing outside, you need Wide Dynamic Cameras, and in the Armor Dome territory, you are limited choices, good ones, but expect to pay for them. If you are looking for maintinance free operation, go with a stand alone, which, I must admit are more reliable than PC based, but with less features.

    ISC EAST PICTURES

actually, if you look at the plasma picture, or the pic with the guy from extreme, you should notice me on the screen holding the camera, wearing a white shirt, taking the pic
  4. but my dear rory, I have also used my new Pano 484 that I got the other day, and it was at daytime. I used the cheapo one because those tend to have the most problems with video transmission, so I believe that it was the perfect test subject to test against image interferience.
  5. Well my dear rory, I must admit that lev has got you by the ***. I have tested the VU BL3265, and what I did was took an entire roll of CAT5, (1000') and hooked a cheapo taiwanese camera to it, and everything was 110% perfect. I then proceeded to take that roll, and placed it in top of a FLOURECENT BALAST!, and no inteferince what so ever. I will install this in one particular application that I have problems with, and just to make the case rest, I have been to the VU factory, which is actually about 15 min north of boston, and I get from a very good source that they make the damm things in house, but they might just import the actual parts to put it together, but who knows? and who cares? they work, and that's all that matters. here's a pic of the VU: so as you can see, yes, there is a little chip inside Don't worry lev, when he get's his but here, I'll show him.
  6. Welcome aboard!!! If you decide to go with a Stand Alone system instead of PC based (which requires more maintenance) There are options for you that won't break your budget. Like our colleague levon has said, you need to clarify the project so that we may help you in the recommendations, and also, one thing that I can tell you, from EXPERIENCE, is to stick with an established manufacturer, some of those OEM chinnese and Taiwanesse products that look to be too good to be true are exactly just that. One consideration that I can already tell you is that you need to go with ARMOR domes for the interior, so that kids cannot tamper or easily break them. They do cost a little more, but in the end, they are worth every penny.

Well DATA, it only took me 50 min to get into White Plains. Once I got into the West Side High, I was crusing. Yes VJD, I got your message, but you didn't leave a call back number, so I couldn't get back to you. Sam's DVR is not bad at all, I mean for the price level.

    Can someone help.

Ok, I don't see the following on this quote: Lens? Wire? Connectors? Power Supply? I have seen what you need, and here is what I can offer: (2) Ganz YCH-02B Day Night Cameras, with 6mm-60mm Auto Iris Lenses. (2) American Dynamics ADCH10HBMT8 Exterior Housings, Heater, Blower and Mount. (1) Sanyo Network DVR, Model DSR-3009H80. It's a 9 Channel DVR with a 80GIG HD, Networkable, and for the price of a 4 channel, might as well go with this one. (1) Altronix ALTV244, 4 Channel 24VAC Power Supply, at 4 Amps. (1) Spool of 500' of Siamese Cable, with 95% Copper, and Power leads. (10) Pieces of BNC Twist on Connectors, and (2) Power Leads for the cameras. (unless you want crimp on, and pay an extra 40-150 for the tool alone) I can do all for xxxx.xx plus shipping. let me know. Hermin sorry guys, I realized what I did and it was an innocent mistake, I will kick myself in the a$$ for that one.

    Clean Installs

The reason that I have so many clients is that I always pay attention to the little details when doing an installation. Most installers int he area don't care if there is a little of wire exposed here or there, I will spend the extra time to make sure that everything is covered, and when doing exterior work, I ALWAYS use EMT piping, all the way from the camera thru the hole entering the interior, making the camera wires tamper proof.

Hey, I'm a heavy mets fan, careful what you say about them.
  23. Ha, I had to show the local "GEEKS" how to properly find a driver for a older linksys PCI network card for a PC that was running Win98. It's a joke, you should see the commercials.
  24. Chance I makes the cards, other than that just say what you want in it, and you c an probably bribe rory to make the custom software for you.
