Is it normal practice to not give CD of the DVR card software to the client on a PC based system? Just the complete working pc based DVR & installation onsite? Reason I ask, I have a new client with a dead hard drive DVR. I reinstalled Windows XP on a new drive, but no software for the DVR card. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rory 0 Posted December 4, 2009 maybe they lost or misplaced the CD/DVDs that came with the PC? Normally they would place those in the motherboard box, or if it is a kind of OEM type DVR setup, they should at least have provided a Restore Disk that has everything on it. Soundy 1 Posted December 4, 2009 I know with the Vigil DVRs, they image the operational system drive onto the data drive, then provide you a bootable CD with HDD diagnostic utilities, and the imaging software (PowerQuest Drive Image). If your system drive fails, you just swap in a new one, boot from the CD, and reimage the system.
