Any advice would be apricated.

Recommended Posts

I bought a JPEG 2000 recorder and a cctv camera. I pluged them up with my monitor and all that happens is I hear a beep from the recorder The monitor does not register any signal.

They where both bought second hand so dont if they are working but I was sold them in a working condition. Any advice would be gratefully apricated.

Your monitor might not be able to handle the low resolution that DVR outputs. Most cheap DVRs only output 640x480 or lower. So you need a monitor that can handle that low of a resolution.

Try using the BNC composite out to your tv if you want to see if your DVR is working.

also the beeping is because all the cameras are not connected. just press entre when you hear the beeping. then select the camera channel you have connected your camera too.

AND ALSO MOVE THE GEAR OFF THE TABLE YOU HAVE SCRACHED IT.

Might be a single beep just saying its been turned on or recording started.

Check the number of beeps.

Use the Composite output instead, perhaps you have to enable the VGA port inside the setup menu.
