But it want it in full 720P

Did you ever find a solution?

I suggested Quicktime Pro...

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/what-is/

QuickTime features advanced video compression technology called H.264 to deliver brilliant, crisp HD video using less bandwidth and storage. So you’ll experience pristine video quality wherever you watch your movies or videos.

Convert your media.

Want to watch your home movies in the living room or on the go? QuickTime 7 Pro converts your files to a format optimized for iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, or a variety of other devices.

I have tried Handbrake too. But I 'm not familiar with those video settings. It's just hard to understand. I finally bought a ojosoft video converter.http://www.ojosoft.com/how-to-convert/ipad-video-converter.html

It has a lot of patches for almost every new device. What I have to do is just select the right profile for ipad. That's more convenience.
