gv800 issues with win 7 32bits

Recommended Posts

since i installed my gv800 i have a lot of "not responding" and hangs with ie , we,and other applications plus BSOD daily.

i had first 8.1 software then changed to 8.2 and finaly 8.3.3 , all the same .

but here in forum there are some persons have no issue with win 7 .

so , PLS ,why i have these issues ?

thank you in advance to any effort even a litle.

i have replaced it and every thing is ok now with gv800 wich is great.

well , still having random bsod after replacing mobo , in 2 forums they told me it is due to AGV.sys and GV800S.sys drivers , because they are dated to 2004 and 2007

so thier is a compatibility issue , despite i have 8.33 software , any infoemation PLS , my card gv800(s) ver 3.52

Did you uninstall all the drivers, programs, folders etc when you went to 8.3* and above?

You may want to just do a complete format and reinstall just to be safe.

I've got Win7 on 1/2 dozen 1480 systems and all is working well.

Also, you might want to reinstall and stress test the computer before Geovision is loaded. Running Memtest is good. LinX and prime 95 wouldn't hurt either.

I've seen more than one bad motherboard in a row and/or memory.

Best idea would be to go back to XP. Forget all the hype, use what works.

LOL. Can't give up the old stuff yet.

I know you love XP, but the Geo's seem to run fine for me on 7 and I Wouldn't trade Windows 7 for XP at this point. I'm used to it and have no issues with it. Maybe i'll rant later on down the line.....just never know..... but i'm really happy with it. Especially in gaming rigs.

thank-you for responding :

i formated my pc , i have replaced my mobo ,waiting for new ram , did all sfc \scannow , chkdsk , memtesr86 7 passes , no way to go back to xp after all mony invested in this i7 pc .

what i don't understand is how come that the latest software , has drivers dated 2004 , 2007 .

i found a modem driver outdated which i disabled .

for others who have software 8.33 , are these drivers ( AGV.sys , GV800S.sys )dated as drivers i have ?

I'm running 8.3.2 right now. Soon to instal 8.3.4.

The driver date in the device manager was sept 2009.

I can't speak for the GV800's but at least with the November 1480's and this software, the system did a firmware upgrade when it installed. My understanding is this is not reversable.
