Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

what about operation temperature range and allowed ambiance changing?

DiREX-Pro.A30 (due to MPEG4-based video compression about 4-7% usage of 11Mbps WLAN traffic by live viewing):

-5°F to 150°F by 108°F/hour

just tested by Hitachi GST Europe (902KB):

http://www.bwa-technology.de/download/direx_pro/dpro30a_trep.pdf

PS: normally allowed: 40°F to 115°F by 36°F/hour

Just got back from your area about 2 monthas ago, too cold and wet for me. If you come to ISC East at the Jacob Javits Center in August, I'll see you there.

Thanks Alexander,

Is it primarily a portable DVR?

Also, the temperatures are mostly for the cold/very hot areas right? We are basically luke warm here all the time (80-90 degrees Far.), except a little cold in the Jan/Feb months (60-70 degrees Far.).

Ive been busy last few days on some coding, and just glanced at it quick. How does it hold up in the vehicles, like we have tons of potholes here, as far as being used in a COP car or something like that?

Will you be getting any distributors in the US, and can you possibly PM me some dealer pricing on the 4 ch kit on starter minimum volume pricing?

I read that PDF and seems it can definately withstand the extreme Temps, now its just whether it can take the potholes down here You can PM/Email me if you like also. Id also like to know what the network software is like, and if there is any SDK or ActiveX.

Thanks

Rory

@Rory

It is just a "small" device...

e.g. it's possible to control (RS485) speed domes as well...

All advantages here (PDF, 174KB):

Only our DiREX-Pro.A30 is suitable for extended temperature range.

For your region it looks like no so important, but by car usage (due to greenhouse effect) the environment temperature can rise...

And really important think - how rapid (temperature gradient) the internal temperature drop after activation of the air conditioning control?...

Ive been busy last few days on some coding, and just glanced at it quick.
Do you mean "video coding"?

The question is - how do you like to access the stored data?...

By high compression codec it's possible to (if required automatically) download it via WiFi during garage visiting...

How does it hold up in the vehicles, like we have tons of potholes here, as far as being used in a COP car or something like that?
DiREX-Pro.A30 needs normally no any additional vibration protection - we use special automotive HDDs from Hitachi:

http://www.hitachigst.com/portal/site/en/menuitem.7ac8dfe56eb1da5daa67bca4bac4f0a0/

And we tested our devices by Paris-Dakar rally already:

http://www.bwa-technology.de/download/direx_pro/paris_dakar.zip

Fan-free operation makes it possible...

Because our devices are still not FCC proved and we have no any local US support, we offer our equipment at the moment to (suppliers) of governmental users only.

Negotiations with some US CCTV players are underway and I hope in June/July we start to ship our NTSC products via OEM channels.

Id also like to know what the network software is like, and if there is any SDK or ActiveX.
Please refer this description:

An additional documentation will be available soon.
