IP camera connection and what to do

dear members

i have a project with 30 IP camera all connected to one NVR

and monitoring station

the distance between the cameras and NVR will be from 200 m to 1.5 km

so what should I do?

and how can I connect them? should i use switch between the camera and NVR because of the high distance?

and please aif you can advise with diagram

Cat 6 is only tested to 100m and the data transmission gets pretty sketchy after that. I hope you've got a fibre link in there, otherwise it's a wireless solution.

it would be far better for you if you get a company in to do it. 30 ip camera install ......... its going to cost you money in mistakes.

If you have power available at the camera location and need to worry about data, your choices are fiber or dslam, or wireless. dslam works over twisted pair or coax and will give you up to 1.5 miles. DSLAM is the same technology the phone company uses to send dsl to your home or business. Zyzel makes some multi port dslam switches and you would just need to put a dslam adapter at each camera.
