I would not waste the time on it. get 480 tvl, or even better is 540 tvl. 700 tvl can be seen around, however your average dvr wont record over 540 anyway.

Simple answer? Nope.

The Dome is old technology, and it says it is discontinued.

The Box camera is low res, 1/4", and full color which needs alot of light.

Although the low res and full color may very well be okay for basic home use, you are better off getting that in a dome or bullet camera instead of a box camera, for home use.

High res today is 550TVL/600TVL and even now 700TVL, though it means little in most cases (the total effective pixels is what counts), it at least lets you know its a recent camera and that it should have some other newer updated technology.
