Coax lightning protection

Recommended Posts

Acquiring some coax lightning protection adapters that go inline with the coax....was assuming placing these close as possible just before the actual cameras? OR closer to the DVR?

again seems like better near the camera

thx

Technically at both ends bonded with decent cables to proven earth points.

If you only have one, it would be best at the DVR end just after the cable enters the building.

Mount the protection device as close as possible to the ground rod at the point of entry to the building. Protecting the building and occupants is more important than protecting the camera or DVR.
