4 pin mini din to 6.35mm jack plug?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've only seen 5 pin din/6.35mm jack adaptor,but not a 4 pin version.

I'm aiming to upgrade the camera on a dvr equipment that uses a 6.35mm jack. The upgrade camera is a Nikkai, which has a 4 pin mini din(female). I've bought a 6.35mm jack and a male 4 pin, both solder on type, and 3 core cable.

Could someone let me know what the pinouts are on the din? I think 4 is ground, referring to this picture

thanks in advance

Paul

hi paul. both methods are old and both have there problems. as far as ungrading cameras to be honest you will see no differance as these systems are old and are most CIF 320tvl no point in upgrading to anything above that.

then you have power problems most of the old din plug systems were 7.5 or 9v as far as a pin out diagrame there are so many each have there own (so you had to buy there cameras)

On an old J-Win JV-TV2040 system, they used the 4 pin DIN setup for their cameras.

Here is the pinout their system has:

1: Power (12 volt dc)

2: Ground

3: Video

4: Audio

aha...I see. I'll give a bash at the pin setup as what Ken has put. If no success,I'll just return it back to the seller,as the playback quality isn't great, and it stops recording whilst in record mode
