PC DVR 48 Channels, what video capture card buy?

Hi, we have 42 cameras, bnc, on 3 different stand alone dvr

 

We want to hold the 42 cameras on a PC base DVR, I've being searching what video capture card to buy

 

 

3 32 channel video capture card?

Brand, model?

 

can any one give me some light on this, please.

hi a 42 cam system is going to take some building and a high price.

 

 

i would look at 2 x 32 or 16 & 32 system linked together it will be much more reliable

Thanks for your reply, you mean 2 PCs 32 channels?

 

Need:

The reason why we try to do it on a single pc or dvr it's because we need to send some of the cameras feed to 3 different offices, 3 TVs. They don't want to switch form input to see the feed. Under my limited understanding the only option will be to place 1 single video out put that means at least 48 pc dvr, am I correct?

hi. pc or windows based standalone units can be made to talk with each other 1 -2 - lots of units can all be called together with 1 software

 

 

also with 42 cameras you need a good display at least two 42inch for that many cameras

I didn't new that, so 2 PCs sounds like possible, any video card and software recommendation?

I would recommend Avigilon Encoders and Avigilon CORE or STANDARD VMS. All you would need is the VMS, encoders and POE switch plus your computer.

You could do that for much less with the DVRs you already have. All you need is some multiplexers and splitters. Would be cheaper than new pcs.
