Setting up an IP camera in a location with no ethernet...

Hi, I am trying to set up an IP camera in a location with no ethernet plugs (cable/dsl/etc.) there is dial-up only. what is an alternative allowing me to view live images online or somehow viewing..i dont want to hook it up to a vcr ..thank you.

Other IP cameras may have this feature, but StarDot servers and IP cameras do support dial-up modems on the serial ports on their cameras and servers. I believe the IP controller is also capable of dialing out when triggered or on schedule (or both).

A Linksys WRT54G-3G-AT router with a data card installed will give you internet wherever there is a cellphone signal. I used these mounted in a weatherproof box on light poles, then plugged in Axis IP cams. Power was provided by a single solar panel and a huge deep-cycle AGM battery. Worked great.
