Mac Compatible DVR

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I am new to this forum.

I am seeking a 24-32 channel Mac compatible DVR

Features I am looking for:

D1 compression

Safari/firefox compatible

Similtaneous multi cam view from IOS devices

Ip cam campatable via app

The two brands I am considering are Everfocus and digital watchdog But neither have all the features that I want.

Any suggestions or advice would be highly appreciated.

Dahua will do all that you're looking for.

You can view multiple Cameras on Mobile devices from various locations, both Analog and IP.

You can view multiple Cameras on MAC with Client Software from various locations, both Analog and IP.

Umm, no it won't. For certain it won't work with Firefox or Safari. The TFT based units do work with Safari, but the plugin is terrible and requires administrator permission on the mac.

I've personally installed Dahua's PSS software on many of my client's MAC OSX computers. It does require emulation software to run in the backend, but it works just fine if done correctly (your distributor should provide you with instructions from Dahua). Also, if you need detailed instructions on how to do this, I will be glad to assist you.

Also, their Web 3.0 browser extensions do work fine on Mac on most browsers but do require administrative permissions to install.
