Best parts for a GV-1480 with 11MP cameras and 16 Analog

Recommended Posts

I recently was testing some different equipment and used this configuration. My cost was about 600.00 and it is the smoothest and fastest I have ever seen these systems run. I didn't even have to use an extra video card.

Mother Board - Asus P8Z77-V LK 1155 ATX

Memory - 2 x 4GB D3 1600 Corsair

OS - Windows 7 Professional

Processor - Intel Core I-7-3770K

Power - Antec 430 Watt

Floppy - Lite-On 24x DVDRW

HDD - 2 x Seagate 3TB HDD

I am running 16 x 700 TVL Analog, 8 x 2MP Outdoor Geo Domes, 2 x Indoor 1.3mp Geo Domes, and 1 x 5mp Outdoor Fisheye.

If you are having trouble with your systems video or speed. This is a great setup! The quality via phone is about 10x faster as well. So don't sweat trying something new

How is the system holding up since the post?

I am building a system with similar parts and its nice to see someone with success building a custom system.

Where did you purchase your parts may i ask?

Im looking at the same motherboard with the Geovision GV-1240 board and 12 analog cams with potential for up to 3 ip cams in the near future.

Think i could get away with a lesser processor using the 240 fps card? say i5?

Thanks for you help.

Does it make a difference if I install win 7 x64 or x32, which one is better for geo system.

For $800 I just ordered the dell XPS 8700,

with a 4th Gen Intel Core i7-4770 processor 3.9 GHz

8GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz - 2 DIMMs

AMD RadeonHD 7570 1GB GDDR5

1TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive 6.0 Gb/s

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW), write to CD/DVD

Integrated 7.1 with WAVE MAXXAudio 4

Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0+LE

This should be more powerful then the above op,
