anyone able to help with a latest update for Model:NVR7408

What's the problem issue?

Having some issues detecting some cameras, also no sound detection on my NVR7408

Also, anyone have a PAL update for HDW4300C v2?

Trying the General_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_P_Stream3_V2.420.0005.0.R.20141205 version gives a send update data error for some reason then reboots the NVR.

Hi,

I'm trying for quite a long time to configure my friends HDW2100 camera, but I'm having real problems.

I upgraded the firmware to 2.212.000.1.R 2013.12.24. (PAL). It works now under IE with plugin installed, but just can't make ftp recording work.

FTP server on the local net (running on Ubuntu Server) is up and running, everything should be fine. But no recording is happening over ftp. I think it is related to a firmware bug?

I see there is a newer firmware available, General_IPC-HX3(2)XXX_Eng_P_V2.420.0000.0.R.20140414.bin

I guess it is safe to try it out, maybe ftp is resolved?

ftp://ftp.wintel.fi/drivers/dahua/cam-fw/IPC-HX3%282%29XXX/General_IPC-HX3%282%29XXX_Eng_P_V2.420.0000.0.R.20140414/

Anybody managed to get this model of cam up and running (by saving video to ftp)? If yes, which firmware version?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have problem to capture snapshot.

I am using the following model:

Device TypeIPC-HFW1120RM

Software Version2.420.0000.4.R, build : 2015-04-17

WEB Version3.2.1.262736

ONVIF Version2.4.1

I am using the following command to capture a image:

http://192.168.1.108/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi?chn=1&u=admin&p=[mypassword]

Problem:

1.It still asks for username password pop-up even though i am supplying the credentials. (check screenshot)

2. After manual authentication, snapshot works sometimes, but refreshing the page or using the same URL repeatedly stops giving out fresh snapshot.

Please help.

HI,

Thanks for this topic. I have several Dahua IPC-HFW4300S-V2 cameras. Recently I ordered a few more and had trouble with the scheduled snap shot mode. The cameras were set up to save a snapshot every 5 seconds to a FTP server but would not restart sending snapshots after a power down unless I re-entered the schedule after setting the schedule to default. This happened on both serial numbered cameras starting with PZC4L and 1E017. .

The PZC4L would only accept:

DH_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_N_Stream3_V2.420.0000.0.R.20140419 and it fixed the problem.

The 1E017 would only accept:

General_IPC-4300S_Stream3_V2.420.0002.0.R.20140621_a and it fixed the problem.

I used the Web interface to change the firmware to an older version.

I found the firmwares at the link listed earlier in this topic.

Thanks a bunch for listing the firmware. Just thought I'd pass this along. I spent a fair amount of time trying to find firmware that would load into the respective serial numbered cameras.

Thanks Euly...the firmware 2.420.0000.10.R, build : 2015-04-24 with the IVS works great with my IPC-HDW4300s v2! Great heads up.

Hi there!

nofire, could you please tell me if this firmware will work on my Dahua 4300s V2?

Software Version 2.420.0002.0.R, build : 2014-06-21

WEB Version 3.2.4.184667

ONVIF Version 2.4.1

My camera has English Web Interface, but all the files from firmware are somethink like ''chinesse''..

I tried to flash firmware from V1 with no luck: Upgrade failed.

Also.. Could you please tell me witch is the latest firmware available for this 4300s V2?

Thanks a lot!

I've tried firmware from both of these sources for my 4300S V2 and neither of them will work/install:

ftp://ftp.asm.cz/Dahua/kamerove_systemy/_Firmware/04IPC/

http://www.allbuyer.co.uk/downloads.html#null) (this link was working last night, but not now)

.........wow, hold on. I literally just tried ftp://ftp.asm.cz/Dahua/kamerove_systemy/_Firmware/04IPC/IPC-HX5(4)XXX/DH/1507/DH_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_P_Stream3_IVS_V2.420.0000.10.R.20150715.bin and it transferred... now it is (config tool) stuck at 'System is upgrading now. Please wait'

I modified 2014.12 firmware from V1 to be used on V2. But, after burning this firmware there are some steps to make to recover web interface and English help.

Hi Helbet, I did a search through your posts and did not see if you posted instructions for this. I would very much like to try. I did find this link:

http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45089

Is this all I need to do?

Hi!

First of all, the 2014.12 firmware must be modified because, by default, 4300-V2 will not accept it.

_____________________________

So I used:

- General_IPC-4300S_Stream3_V2.420.0002.0.R.20140621_a.bin (this was the original firmware from my V2 camera)

- General_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_P_Stream3_V2.420.0005.0.R.20141205.bin (this is a V1 firmware found on internet)

I only replaced in R.20141205.bin the following file: check.img (I extracted from the original firmware and copied it in the new firmware). To do this operation you will need to use HexEdit first, on both firmware files, to make them open-able like an archive --> modify 2 letters from DH to PK. After that modify back PK to DH and the camera will accept the new firmware.

Then the web interface will need some adjustments, like presented on cctvforum. It will then work ok and will be in English.

If you will need English help in the web interface, I can post here some simple explanations.

Good luck!

_______________________________

If is necessary, I can upload somewhere my modified R.20141205.bin which works on my 4300S-V2.

_______________________________

One forum user reported that he is able to use a newer version of firmware, from 2015, with new features like Intelligent Video Surveillance, but I doubt!

_______________________________

What is unpleasant, is the fact that all the well documented or smart forum users, only describes partially the steps which are necessary to do.. That is why, maybe it is better to let the camera as is, because, in case of bricking it, you will need some IT skills..

Hi Helbet,

So modify the bin file using the hex editor (I used the plug-in for Notepad++) then rename to a zip file to pull and change out check.img? Did you pull the original images/firmware from the camera or did you find it online?

Cheers,

Mark

Edit: OK it worked! I used the following firmware to pull the check.img!!!

After using HexEditor, I can simply open the .bin file as is (without renaming it to .zip) using Total Commander (it is possible to need WinRAR instaled). Then delete check.img and copy it againg from R.20140621_a.bin.

General_IPC-4300S_Stream3_V2.420.0002.0.R.20140621_a.bin was found online. Seems to be my original 4300S-V2 firmware.

___________________________________

Another discution may be related by the names of the firmware files.. I tried to use:

- DH_IPC-HX5(4)XXX-Adreia_Eng_P_Stream3_V2.420.0008.0.R.20150710.bin and maybe, being an Dahua (DH) (not General) firmware, it broke my camera..

Now I am afraid to check other 2015 firmware like:

- General_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_N_Stream3_IVS_V2.420.0000.10.R.20150424

which is a General one, because i already cut out the wires from the camera board and I can't use my Serial-TTL adapter..

Thanks again Helbet,

After a telnet session and some file editing.....

Software Version 2.420.0005.0.R, build : 2014-12-05

WEB Version 3.2.1.237466

ONVIF Version 2.4.1

So to recap what I did:

Found and downloaded both the original and new firmware files. Edited both in a hex editor to change DH to PK on line 1. Renamed both to zips to enable deleting check.img natively within windows, and copying check.img from the old firmware to the new one. Renamed new firmware back to .bin then hex edited PK back to DH.

This modified firmware then uploaded without issue using the config tool on port 3800. Following this, the unit appeared bricked, and as per the instructions telnet in and modified the files as per http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45089 , then reboot.

Excellent, and after a telnet session and some file editing.....

Software Version 2.420.0005.0.R, build : 2014-12-05

WEB Version 3.2.1.237466

ONVIF Version 2.4.1

Good job!

Anyway, nothing seems to be changed in functionality.. Maybe IVS from 2015 firmware would be a nice improvement!

Hi Helbet,

I tried a number of DH firmwares last night, and all said they were updating... but when I checked it was still 2.420.0005.0.R.

I guess we need to wait for the next 'general' firmware?

There are already several newer General firmwares from 2015 like:

- General_IPC-HX5(4)XXX_Eng_P_Stream3_V2.420.0000.8.R.20150202.bin

This one seems to have IVS.

Could you try this?

As we discussed by PM, this version didn't work for me (though it transferred OK) - and reverted itself back to 20141205
