Camera comparison help

Recommended Posts

Right I have been offered 2 different cameras and not sure which one to go for

Here's the low down of the specs I have to hand

Camera A:

Color 1/3" SONY 700TVL,

Face note,

Face Auto Zoom,

Face Detection,

Super WDR

3D NR

Sony 811/810 + AVS03

2.8-12mm manual zoom lens

IR cut filter

IR LEDs: 42 40m

Minimum illumination: 0LUX (ir on)

Camera B:

1/3" SONY Exview HAD CCD II

Sony 811+ RJ9H

700tvl, 960H

OSD: D-WDR, 2D-DNR, HLI, AWB, PIC etc.

2.8-12mm auto iris megapixel lens

IR cut filter

IR LEDs: 42 40m

Diamond coated lens

Electric shutter Auto:1/50(1/60)-1/100.000sec

White Balance auto

Minimum illumination: 0LUX (ir on)

Now one is cheaper than the other but putting that aside which do you think is the better camera based on the specs provided and also which do you think is the more expensive and the cheapest

Thanks guys/girls

Mostly the CCTV camera is made in China .

It depends who makes the camera .

So true. The CNB 24VF series cameras have mediocre specs. But in real life, they are some of the best analog cameras.

The face zooming and tracking is something I've been meaning to check out for a while. Zooming is an interesting feature, but it depends on the camera.

This one doesn't do well-

td7-oIEFmL4

This one is better-

dG_3samgS0o

And this I find more useful than zooming-

ufFvOlWbkQI

That said, you don't know till you hang it if it'll be ok for your situation. Specs aside, the best one is the one that works the best for that particular spot.

They work great until they start dieing which is happening to ours, we are up to a 25% failure rate on cameras 2 years old.

I don't understand why anyone is still using cameras like these. We use Mobotix cameras for almost every install now. I don't set up DVRs or NVRs any more and my overall bids are almost alweays way under the companies who are using older technology.
