Sharing Door Contact between IDS and AC

Dose anyone have any experience sharing a door contact between a intrusion detection system and a access control system? I am thinking that it can be accomplished using relay boards, wondering if someone already has done it.

 

We need the two systems independent for a number of reasons.

We always use our own contacts too much finger pointing when something goes wrong. Do you have room for a second set or can you embed something is the door and door frame?

You could do it with something like an Altronics RBSN relay but it's really easier to add a second contact unless one of them needs to be wet.

Either use a 2 pole contact at the door or have the ACS fire a relay that follows the door position or on a forced/held open alarm. The latter allows egress through the door while the burg alarm is armed because the forced open alarm will be shunted by the REX.
