What do i need for this camera?

Sorry guys I don't know much about CCTV so I don't know where to put this. Could someone explain to me what I hardware I need to connect this camera too and what software.

 

Below is a picture of the connecters for the camera and also the sticker showing the model ect...

 

I just want to connect it to my computer and save the footage to the additional harddrive in the pc. Running windows XP.

You need to get yourself a BNC connector and a male power connector, I would suggest if you don't know what these are or how to terminate cables get yourself a premade roll.

To connect it to your computer you need yourself a DVR capture card.

Actually, this is we call F connector not BNC. As for you want to hook up camera to computer, I think you could get one "video grapper" or "Video capture card"

 

 

Then I must have been doing it wrong all these years, because I have been connecting female BNC connectors to those.

That is what an F connector looks like clearly different.

Like I said previously his best bet would be to just use a roll of premade cable (as much as it pains me to say that) as this will be the easiest solutions.

 

At the computer you need a DVR capture card, such as the many offerings from Geovision.

 

You will also need one of these.

That will provide the power, the capture card will capture and allow you to record the video, and the premade cable has all the required connections.
