default H.264 or H3 - Avigilon

Recommended Posts

H3 The 5 Megapixel camera is connected to the server through a switch.

In particular this defect happens when I use a CISCO Switch SF100-5 (10/100) or CISCO SG100-5 (10/100/1000).

I could solve the problem using another Switch 5/8 such as HP (10/100/1000)

I leave the pictures to explain the error. Hear opinions.

I'm sensing that the problem also occurs with the HP switch, to a lesser extent.

It happens with more frequency in good time SUNSET.

Also make the change H3 camera.

To continue providing info.

is related to the Switch brand you use.

Never had this problem with the cameras of 5 and 11 Mpx JPEG2000, ie not related to the AB.

Thanks

can you please upload a quick video of the issue? 10 secs?

Native format is good.

Also can you take a pic of the camera settings and frame rate?

how is the camera powered?

What is the network layout for the system?

Have you tried a factory reset on the camera yet?

cheers,

Ash

This looks like a bandwidth issue.

What does the ping times look like when you ping the camera from the server? Also as Ak said do a bandwidth test from your server to the camera location.

I've had the same problem with 2 and 3 MP Avigilon. In both cases putting in a faster switch cleared up the problem. If you have more than one camera on the switch try taking one or two off the switch and see if the problem goes away

more details

The effect occurs even connecting a single camera of 5 Megapixel inserting an CISCO switch 10/100/1000

Against server traffic is low 8 Mbs camera

The effect is more pronounced with sun

Was solved by placing a switch from another brand such as HP 5 Port Giga

I conclude that there is packet dropping, some problem in the plot or speed switch, but I can not give an accurate diagnosis.

Today I am in bed, sick with cold, but once they get to the office I can climb a video sequence.

This is mathematical, it always happens with CISCO switch can occur with some other brand but so far what I can offer is that HP is solved.

I've put over 300 CISCO switch with 5 Megapixel Camera JPEG2000 smoothly, this happens with H3.

There is no magic. Be more presize ... what is the model of Cisco switch which you use and which FW. What I mean, that lable Cisco on switch doesn't mean that all switches from Cisco will cover Video Streaming applications. Also may pay attention to the temperature condition of environment where switch is located. But basically such type of image is package drop. You will never see such problem with JPEG2000 cameras. Cause with JPEG streaming when you have some connection/package drop issue you will noticed just some fps drop. And you for instance will see 13 fps of 20 fps which you adjust. In H264 which consist of I and P frames if I frame (this frame is reference to create full scene for further P frames) missed you will get such image as you have.

A Cisco SF100D-05 (if thats the correct part number) is a 25.00 switch.

And I can't find a 5 port SG series switch.

The effect occurs with either switch models CISCO

SF100-5 and SG100-5

Perform many tests, including a 6 fps streaming.

The temperature is normal.

I think the CISCO switch can not work with streaming h3, do not understand that this requirement is not indicated by the support of Avigilon.

In an integration I went crazy with this issue and I had no answers about it.

What I can say now is you have to be careful with the switch used in a facility with cameras H3.

Viginetip I am sorry but this not a Avigilon issue. I have used many Cisco, Netgear, Trendnet and HP PRO switches with Aviglion cameras without issue unless the network wasn't configured properly.

Can you please post a network diagram of how this system is setup?

Back to my original comment.

Either out of spec cable or bad terminations.

Could be graphic card problem. I had this problem before.

What graphic card/chipset model you have?

Just try to connect camera directly to your PC without any switch, Antivirus and windows FireWalls. If everything will be ok. Than you should look for problems with your IT infrastructure. But my sugestion is following - CHANGE thouse CISCO 25$ switches. They designed not for Video Streaming. And you will have such issue with any h264 camera with the same bitrate. I so such issues with Pelco, Bosch, GeoVision, Panasonic.... 95% of reasones is IT infra.

Go to CCNA from Cisco, or go to the HP trainings prior installing such systems.
