Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I Bad firmware flash.

Recommended Posts

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I that I flashed to the 5.02 firmware. After doing so I could not find the cameras ip using the SADP software. But I could log in to the camera with a web browser. Now I cant log in via web browser and I still can't find it using the SADP. I have read that when the bullet version of this camera you can do a hard reset with the button. With the dome I can't find a reset button.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Jake

You can re-apply a failed firmware upgrade with their TFTP auto-update tool:

There's a thread on this here, and it sounds like the reset button would help if you can find it. I'm not familiar with the Hik domes, though.

yes, you just need to reset it, its fine...I believe the reset button is requires the removal of the glass dome, its in there somewhere....

I tried the recommended TFTP auto-updater, no change. It sounds like I need to hit the restart button but I can't find it ,if there is one. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

I checked every visible square inch of mine (a Derytech version but with 5.0.2 firmware loaded on it) and I can't find a reset button. I went through the manual and there's no reset button shown for that model but other models have a reset button.

The manual is here and page 42 starts Dome IV which is this dome -

If someone does find a reset but, prove me wrong, show a picture of it.

If it were me, I would go back and get the original firmware that was on it and try installing that via TFTP. If it's HIkvision branded, regardless of where you got it, I would call their support.
