Maniek 0 Posted December 27, 2013 Good evening I have installed many Acc installations. 2 with POS System by Avigilon - with success Those were with rs connected printers. My next customer has 4 Pos points with USB only printers. It has rs ports , but they dont work properly , it is ok with usb. Aby ideas how to " sniff" pos data by avigilon with usb printer port? varascope 0 Posted December 27, 2013 USB does not work that way. Someone has attempted before to place a diode running from the VCC side but it does not work. There are software solutions for reading the USB data and a script can be written to output to Serial or other interface. Most popular POS system have Serial ports BUT they have to be activated AND configured. What is your POS system? Is it running Windows? If so which version? cliff369 0 Posted January 13, 2014 It might be possible to use a USB to Ethernet server/converter with ACC - So long as the POS PC and the Avigilon server have IP connectivity between them. ACC Server can connect to any type of POS equipment that can host UTF-8 or ASCII text via TCP port 10001. If the PoS system is IP based and a common one, you could use that instead with a 3rd party integration. is it IP based or just USB/serial. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
