Sudden bad picture quality across all cams

Hi

 

Does anyone have an idea what would cause cams to suddenly all look like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7O6gjD1ElM&feature=youtu.be - sort of like lines scrolling to the left.

 

DVR is a Dahua (DH-DVR0804LE-AS) 8 channels, all 6 cams on D1 res. One cam had this very slightly for about a year but now all the cams have the problem and it's far worse.

 

I've no idea what it is or what could be causing it? Nothing onsite has changed.

It could be a Dvr meltdown. I would probably bet on it. You could try to restart it just to see. You could also try a single power adapter to a camera to rule out a power box failure or ground loop issue. But I have a feeling it's the dvr itself.

looks like ground earth issue to me check all bncs are secure

Been looking up ground loop and this could well be the problem.

 

Is this in anyway a fire hazard?

i dont think its a fire hazard but more a quality issue.

You may replace the cable and/or connector on both end of cable to see how.
