Strange DVR problem

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I have a cheap Chinese made 8 channel H264 DVR was working ok but suddenly I can not remotely view it. When I use a web browser to access it on the LAN it will display a normal login page, after I put in the user name and password it just display a blank page with some PTZ control image. No cameras can be seen. On the VGA monitor directly connected to the DVR the cameras are showing correctly. It was ok before, can remotely view all the cameras with no problems. Any body has any ideas? Appreciate any information. Software version V2.62.R07.04314013. Here also attached the model sticker and the remote view page.

And are you able to view the network settings on the VGA?

Verify your passwords,IP adresses etc.

Did you have power problems recently?

Yes I can view the settings on the VGA locally. Password and IP address are correct. There is only one DVR on the LAN.

What do you mean power problems? From what I know there is no power supply problem. Maybe had one or two power cut in the time. Is it a problem?

Has your IP address changed?

No IP address change. It was left there for maybe a couple of months without check it over the LAN and one day when I want to check it and logged on it gave me the blank page like the picture in the above.

Just wonder will a firmware upgrade fix it? Does anyone have a newer version of the similar firmware for downloading? Cheers

It probably inherent firmware not support new IE 11V. In these days most DVR has face this louse problem particularly in MicroSoft update.

Two way, one is update new firmware or down IE version.

Cheers
