ACTi E77 BlueIris Green screen

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else having this problem. I get a green screen randomly during day or night in Blue Iris.

Don't see this on ACTi web configurator microSD.

What driver are you using? I found that the generic rtsp h.264 driver works better than the ACTi driver on BlueIris. Also, don't be afraid to ask Ken, the author. His email address is on the BlueIris website.

So I've been seeing this too.

Its quite puzzling. I also noticed that the encoding changes from h.264 to mjpeg.

If you look at the camera properties you will see an extremely low fps and bit rate but there is some. It seems to be triggered by changing resolution. I'd like to know if you've determined why.

I don't see this, and am running a slightly older version of BI (3.49.05), but when I change resolution on the Hiks, it sometimes crashes BI. That may have changed in the newer updates.

Now, I always take the camera offline before changing resolution, then put it back online. This wouldn't explain the OP's problem, but could be related to problems after resolution changes.

If you're seeing MJPEG and a low bit rate, you won't get much in the way of video, as MJPEG just can't carry much info at low bit rates.

I was running H.264 but for some reason it kept switching to MJPEG. I've never quite figured out why I was getting the screen. I wonder if Lemm figured it out. I then ran in to issues with BI and Hik and eventually shelved the problem and started playing with Milestone Go. Everything came up fine with Go.
