Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I, Motion detection not working

Recommended Posts

Hi

I bought a DS-2CD2132-I a few days ago. It seems to be a great camera except for one thing. I cannot get the motion detection to work.

I want the camera to, when motion is detected, upload video to my ftp server. I have followed the manual but nothing happens when there is motion in front of the camera.

The Test function on ftp settings page works fine, a test file is uploaded to the ftp server.

Attached are screendumps of my settings.

Help is very welcome.

Best regards Magnus

Ok, if I check snapshot under storage it works. I get a bunch of jpgs uploaded to my ftp. Now I know there is nothing wrong with the camera, thanks!

But I would prefer to have a video clip instead. Maybe it's not possible to do that?

Does it makes any difference if I upload to a smb share instead?

Try creating a share under the Storage/NAS tab & then initialize it under Storage/Storage Management.

Have you read through your manual that is on the included disc?
