Recommended Posts

Anyone have a problem with Yosemite and the Hikvision plugin. I can't seem to get my cameras to load in Chrome or Safari. I tried re-downloading the plugin too.

Hi, I did not know there was a plugin for OSX.

For me it works only with Quicktime.

Where do You download the plugin?

I updated to Yosemite and the Yosemite update and the plugin works the same as before which is to say lousy for cameras above version 5.0.2 of the firmware. With more current versions I get a screen update once per second, before that it's smooth video. I tested with 5.1.0, 5.1.2, 5.1.6, 5.2.0. If you can go to 5.0.2 that's the best for people with Mac's.

I was hoping that 5.2.3 fixed plugin issue on Mac's where you see only 1 FPS, but no, still the same. 5.0.2 remains the only version where it worked at full frame rate.

BTW, I have Yosemite, no problems with the plugin other than what I noted before. Just download it from the Hikvision.com website and install it on your Mac. Click Support -> Download and select the Tools tab and it's the first thing there.

I am having the same issue.

I have Yosemite 10.10.1 and installed the Hikvision plugin from: http://www.hikvision.com/Es/download_more.asp?id=1192

The plugin installs correctly.

When I try to see the cameras with any browser (Firefox, Safari or Chrome) it shows the following error:

"No plug-in detected."

I also tried using the Hikvision Desktop application from:

http://www.hikvision.com/europe/download_more.asp?id=1367

It asked me to install X11 Quartz, which I did. But still can´t see any video.

I must say that everything works perfectly with Android, iOS and Windows. My only issue is with MAC.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks,

-Diego
