chesterfield 0 Posted December 22, 2014 A fairly newbie question, but as the maximum resolution that the avigilon analogue encoders will pass through is 720 x 560, is there any point in using analogue cameras with more than 720tvl in conjunction with these encoders? ssmith10pn 0 Posted December 25, 2014 Research the max resolution over a composite video connection. They can say what ever they want about scan lines on the camera box. But: Composite signals carry color video as a single signal. The resolution is limited to 480 lines or 576 lines because they are the two standard definition line counts.
