Mobile DVR Recommendation

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Need a bit of help here.

Am sourcing for a Mobile DVR.

Must have model that support 8 Channels DVR.

Codec in MPEG2 or MPEG4 format.

Should have network feature to transfer video images when vehicle return to depot.

Dealer/Manufacturer with suitable products, please email me with specs and pricing.

Any recommendation from you guys are also apperciated.

Thanks.

Thanks.

But am trying to get dealers/manufacturer who frequent here to get to me.

Most of the dvr in those threads are 4 channels.

Most mobile dvr makers only have 1-4 channels as well. Only a handfull make 8 channels.

Am actually looking at everfocus EDR810M now.

Any feedback regarding this model ?

Its on the site, though you need a user and password to access it. I had a copy of the software but have seem to mis-place it. The software is actually really easy to use and setup nicely. It has the ability to connect to multiple mobile DVR's. Oh, and the DVR is PDA supported.

Just contact them and ask...

Forgot to mention.

One of the requirement is also the power used.

Should be 12VDC or 24AC. Bascially hooking up to a vehicle.

Thought all mobile DVR (vehicular mount) should be using those kinda power instead of 110/240VAC ?

The SerVision looks interesting but the specs said that it's using 110/240Vac.

From what I remember you can get a 12V version or 110V, its just the matter of swiching out the PSU. Used to do it with the SVG400 at my old job.

Nice little 4 channel unit here. Put one in my last SUV and it worked great, although watching the recorded video of me driving makes the stomach a little uneasy.

Thanks.

Quoted customer using the everfocus.

Will be having some discussion with them and we'll see what's best suit.

Had some good comments on the March Networks.

Don't know if unit is available in your area.

Might be a little late with this but I am sending just in case.

Plenty of units that can do this. Looking for a solution with at least 8 camera's which I presume would download images/raw data via wireless when vehicle returns. As well as March look at:

Ad Holdings (Dedicated Micro's) Trans VU

Integrian TC50

Verient MDVR

Timespace X200

Just a few to get on with. Need any further help let us know.

It's a two year old thread. Let sleeping threads lie.
