Splitting camera signals to two DVR's

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and have an install question I hope you can help me with.

I'm running two DVR's which sit next to each other. Is it possible to split the signal of one of the cameras from the one DVR, and feed the signal into both DVR's? If so, what is the best way to do it?

You can do that by using a BNC "T" connector and while it is not technically correct it works perfectly ok

I would be careful to use words "perfectly ok"

I found this while googling.

Is there any update on this? I specifically need to split a CVI signal to two DVR's.

Why? Large property that is a hotel and residence. The surveillance systems are managed separately on different networks but there are a couple cameras in common areas that both sites want access to. Splitting the CVI signal would be the easiest solution.

Any thoughts?
